Here I am again
I always find my way back here when I'm feeling down. Just pouring out my heart to whoever is still reading this. I found out my uncle has lung cancer. If anything, I feel more bitter and angry than sad. I'm mad that he's been smoking all these years and he never quit, even after my grandparents and my other uncle (his brother) passed away from health-related incidences. This disease is totally preventable but people never think about stopping until it's too late. My dad only just quit smoking after he found out about my uncle's diagnosis. I'm mad at him for finally quitting now and not quitting sooner even after I told him about Alex's dad (who also passed from lung cancer). I'm angry at how idiotic and stupid they are. How they are so selfish to do all this and not stop to think about their health and how this affects all their loved ones. I'm really scared my parents and family members won't be around for my wedding or for their future grandkids. As I get older, I'm beginning to realize that old age, disease and even death are much more prevalent amongst our family and friends. And I'm just having a hard time dealing with it. This thing called life is a fickle one... //please excuse all grammar and brevity
