Ah, yes, quarantine, self-isolation, what a way for 2020 to mess up our lives. The first few days of it we were all “YES!! NETFLIX 24/7!!”, then a few days later we’re in the kitchen making our 8th meal of the day merely out of boredom.
Even working from home can be SO frustrating. I usually enjoy working at home a lot, and on the first week of officially locking in, I could attend classes + finish assignments + working on other side jobs every single day. Now? I can barely keep myself motivated to get out of bed after one online class.
Finding inspirations is one important aspect to get myself back on track. Whenever I feel down or less motivated, I would usually go on YouTube and take a few minutes to watch PEOPLE WORKING. Yes, I do follow a lot of studying channels on the website, and regularly tune on their videos while I’m working. Just to get a sense that I have a friend to share my struggles with.
I know not everybody finds motivation the same way I do. However, I still want to introduce a few of my study buddies who constantly stand by my side. I’m sure you’ll love them too.
The fact that she’s always honest about the struggles of being a college student makes her a huge inspiration for me. She’s a pre-med student, and it’s not every day I find vloggers taking a scientific major so I truly feel the suffering we both have to endure.
She has 2 channels, one for her daily vlog, and another (which I think she just got started with) is a study-with-me channel. Her vlogs are so fun to watch, really illustrates the life of a college student living far away from home. Her study-with-me videos consists of her…studying, no background music, one hour per video. I highly recommend BOTH of her channel to anybody in need of motivation to get your work done.
I find her youtube channel very refreshing. Her videos are authentic and enjoyable, makes you feel like you are having a good time when spending a fine day with Nina. I relate to her a lot on the way we both connect to people and our ways to cope with work (which is by complaining, procrastinating, and basically dragging myself to desk) but if she can eventually finish her work, so can I.
My favorite playlist of hers is called “not really studying with nina”. It is so funny and makes you warm on the inside knowing that it is ok to sometimes be overwhelmed with work. That if you try hard enough, you’ll find your way through it one step at a time.
THE GIRL IS SO AESTHETIC I JUST WANT TO BE LIKE HER. I really look up to her when I’m out of ideas, or when I need creativity flowing. Every time I need to get a project done, I watch her videos just to get a sense of her artistry. Her channel is probably best for you who are working in the creative industry, or taking a degree in related fields. Or wanting to learn how to paint and draw. Or just simply in need of inspiration to decorate your room.

Her videos are pretty much the live of a good college kid. She makes a lot of study-with-me videos with 40> minutes duration. I didn’t even intentionally go to her channel, but they just somehow kept popping on my timeline. Her videos are perfect to keep you company while still focusing on your work. You’ll find them very relaxing and calming, and suddenly you’ll find yourself watching all her videos repeating them 99x every single time.
Angela is that friend who always helps everybody with their work. She does a lot of real-time studying videos, most go for 1-2 hour per session. You’ll be drawn to her channel just by seeing the thumbnails because They👏Are👏 So👏Freaking👏Cute👏. If you need refreshing, she also does vlogs and study tips to get your brain working again. Oh, and Angela does a lot of planning, too, so if you’re into bullet journals or just want to start planning effectively during your quarantine days, she’s the girl to go.
Aaaaand that’s about it! I just want to take a second and appreciate the way these girls can keep up with their academics while still being a productive content-creator and inspire others with their work. Now your turn, is there any vlogger you watch to keep you motivated?
