  looking over at gabriel from his spot on the couch,  jesse’s head tilted in semi - confusion,  not really understanding where that question had come from.  he knew that it wasn’t uncommon for people to have things that nagged at them from day - to - day,  but the particular topic about being bad  or  good  coming from reyes was the biggest surprise.  usually,  the man was doing what he wanted,  regardless of the opinions of others,  that it took him off - guard to be asked out of the blue whether he thought that the commander was  a  bad  person or not. 

standing outside the small convenience store,  he had his eyes up to the sky -- the clouds were looking dark  &  a couple of rain drops were beginning to litter the ground.  his attention was caught by a small figure running up the narrow street.   ❛   woah,  easy there.  ❜  he said,  laughing lightly about the haste in her step.  ❛ doubt you’ll get anywhere before the rain starts to get too heavy.  ❜  it wasn’t uncommon for him to be in japan on business,  not with overwatch having a base in hanamura;  that didn’t change that he still stuck out like a sore thumb.  heavy southern accent aside,  he was much taller than the general population  &  he didn’t bother one bit trying to change up his usual attire.  

cigar hanging loosely from his lips,  he gives the omnic a wave followed by a smile.  he wasn’t  all that  familiar with the man,  he had his connections one way or another.   ❛  awfully hot out here when the sun is up,  ain’t it?  ❜  jesse knew that there was business to be talked about,  but that didn’t mean that he had to skip some good old friendly conversation beforehand.   

their appearances are as different as  night  &  day,  but maybe that’s what had drawn him to speak to the stranger in the first place.  he’s too talkative for his own good,  but it never hurt to have a conversation with someone from an entirely different walk of life.  ❛  schoenheit,  that’s a mouthful  ---  ‘s  some kinda european,  i’d reckon.  ❜  he is butchering the pronunciation,  despite the fact that it was  just  spoken to him;  given,  he’s  trying  his best here.

if he could have hidden it better,  he would have  --  but he knew that she was  smarter  than that,  it would be hard to get away with trying to hide the copious amounts of blood staining his clothing.  ❛  it’s no big deal,  jus’ a scratch -- or two.  ❜  jesse assures her,  playing down his injuries to almost nothing.  ❛  don’t go worryin’  yer  head about it.  ❜  wiping the blood from his nose with a gloved hand,  he gave fareeha a  stupid  grin.
