            Not considering the video project created in my Foundation to Media Art class, this is the first time that I really used a camera to film anything for art. Right out of the gate, I was confused as to what we were to capture with this project. Execution was my biggest downfall with this project. I wanted to show how alike I was with the average Oakland University commuter student; how I am a full time student, working 40 or more hours a week, and living in an apartment. But, that I also like to “indulge in childhood nostalgia.” Being the young adult that I am, I have taken for granted the easy, care-free nature of being a kid. Not having to worry about 2 photography projects and a video art project, all due in the same week; or making sure that I have to work at least 50 hours to afford living in my apartment; or even just something as driving. Not to say that being a young adult doesn’t have its ups, but I wish that I didn’t have to grow up so fast that I would miss being younger. That being said, this is why whenever I find the time, I like to relive some of my childhood, just to feel like I don’t have that much weight on my shoulders for at least a few hours.
