CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT!!!! A cocky, smooth-talking menace with too much swagger, too much confidence, and absolutely no self-preservation instinct. He swears he’s “not a criminal,” but he’s already having the time of his life committing crimes he’s not technically supposed to enjoy.

“I’m sorry, but I’m having a really hard time buying this whole ‘no one dies’ thing,” Ye-jin called from a few rows ahead, leaning over the seat with wide eyes. “Seriously, did anyone get a gun shoved in their face during their interview? Don’t hold out on me!””

Alaric leaned forward, mock-raising his hand like it was a charm offensive. “Guilty. And honestly, I kind of liked it.”

Ye-jin’s grin widened. “Oh, we’re going to get along just fine!”
