i want him to be scared of how big heβs getting. i want him to look down at his pudgy tummy and see his beautiful eyes get wide and scared. i want him to pant and wheeze as he tries to roll over in bed and watch him struggle until his lip starts to tremble. i want him to lose his breath just from sitting up enough to grab his food, and breathe heavy through every bite of his meal because now, even feeding himself is a lot of work. i want him to hide his face in my chest and cry and grab my shirt with his pudgy hands, and iβll automatically start comforting him, stroking his hair, telling him that heβs just a little bloated, itβs just holiday weight, itβll fall right off in a few weeks. but before i can even get a word out, i realize heβs not crying about how fat heβs gotten - heβs crying because heβs somehow still hungry. i canβt wait to wipe tears off his chubby cheeks and feed him bites of whatever heβs craving until heβs licking crumbs off my fingers, too stuffed to even remember what he was so upset about a minute ago.
i love the thought of watching someone growing fatter over time, noticing their clothes getting tighter and tighter every time you see them until even the baggiest clothes they own are stretched almost comically over their rotund belly, ripping apart around their fat thighs and strangling their flabby upper arms. their love handles are bulging uncomfortably out of what used to be a loose old pair of joggers, wobbly ass barely contained and literally bursting out over the waistband. their stomach hangs out the bottom of all of their shirts now, t-shirts always riding up and bunching on top of their shelf-like belly and under their swollen chest. their neck has disappeared under rings of fat, and their cheeks are adorably chubby. it's almost impossible to remember how they used to look when they had a visible jawline and prominent collarbones.
they look so much happier now, too, positively beaming when you point out how their corpulent stomach sinks between their thighs and takes up all of the space on their lap when they sit down. and when you tell them that they surely need to buy new clothing, that they look as if they're about to burst out of what they're currently wearing, they glow with pride. it was only last week that they came over and ate so much for dinner they had to unbutton their jeans, overstuffed belly spilling onto their lap and pressing over the edge of the dinner table, causing a button on their shirt to go flying with a loud pop. they'd looked so bashfully pleased with themselves that you just had to reward them with another serving of dessert and the promise of belly rubs.
