My Uncool Art Sector

We've already had 4 dates and we've been talking since April! I feel all giddy and stupid whenever we're together or when I think about him... I hope he wants to make it official with me soon! I'd love for him to be my boyfriend.

He's so pretty and handsome too... And he's so considerate and nice! Always thinking about what I want and what makes me comfortable... AHHHH I like him so much, and, we both like sci fi and we talk about it all the time together...

Haha, he was genuinely so shocked that people still used Tumblr. It was funny to say the least. Ahh, he's so funny and cute. He also want a to read the book for ASO, he watched the movie but didn't know about TYWMC or the 4 books lol. So I told him he could borrow my book since I'm almost done with it (like three more chapters or so), the only problem was that I wrote, drew, and highlighted all in it. He said it was okay and that he'd still read it, and in return he said he could lend his favorite book to me! So yay!

So I had dinner with him at his place last night, and when I got inside I gave him my 2001: ASO book and he immediately said "This is the one you wrote and drew all in right?" And I told him yeah, he sat on the floor while I played with his cat and he instantly began flipping through it JUST TO SEE MY DOODLES. And he kept complimenting them and saying they were cool and he was excited to read it! Then he lent me his favorite book to read, I looked through it and we made small talk about it. Then we went to his dinning table and he gave me a plate of pasta, and we talked about our last date (because I was overstimulated because stuff happened that I was prepared for and he felt bad, but afterward I laughed about it and told him it was okay), so he joked and said "Yeah, that's the neurodivergence experience I guess."

I laughed, nodded and said yeah. Then he got quiet for a second before saying that HE was also neurodivergent and he understands how that is. And I REALLY excited and said "Really?? You're neurodivergent? With what?" And he said autism and I was SOOOOOO happy and I started laughing because I was so excited that he said that because Im also autistic. And we talked about our autistic experiences and stuff, and it was really cool to know that about him! But I guess he felt comfortable to tell me since I told him about mine.

Then we watched Space Odyssey, he put it on because as he said "It's your favorite movie, so let's watch it! And maybe next time we can watch Hail Mary?" And of course I agreed lol.

And after it was over he walked me to my car and we talked and stuff before getting to my car, and once there he was thanking me for coming over and being with him, and thanked him for having me and for making me dinner and stuff, and then he asked to kiss my cheek-- and I said yeah then he started to giggle a bit. I guess he was just super geeked, so he kissed my cheek, I kissed his and we hugged. And after he said goodbye, I told h to wait a minute because he wanted to ask him something. Then he made this face at me like he was startled, and it made me embarrassed so I said to not make that face, and he immediately changes it, but I still has to look away because I was embarrassed. But I had finally asked him, all shy, quiet, and whatever as I could "So... What are your intentions with... Seeing me, being with me, and texting me... Like... What are you wanting from this?"

Then he IMMEDIATELY became embarrassed and started fidgeting around and was like "O-oh.. Well... Uhh... Umm... Well I-I was well... Hoping to... I was hoping that we could date seriously and... Have a relationship... But I-I don't want to rush anything and I don't want to rush you or put you in that uncomfortable situation... And relationships are a bit hard for me, like I know they are for you... But I was hoping we could date seriously once I got to know you.." And of course I started grinning and I told him that's exactly what I wanted too, I wanted to get to know him, but I wanted him to know that I DO want a relationship with him in the future because I like him. I like talking to him, being with him, and texting him, so I do want a relationship with him. Then he started smiling and laughing, getting super excited.

And we talked about it a little bit more, and he thanked me for asking him that. I nodded and thanked him again before telling him I had to leave. So he let me leave and I went home SOOOOOOOOO happy!!!

I REALLY wanted my bsf to meet him so BAD!!! So Saturday comes, we come over to his apartment and he introduces himself to my friend and they begin talking and getting to know each other. Then we get into his car and he drives to go pick up two of his other friends. One is his best friend, so I know them, the other was a friend he worked with and I haven't met him. But he was a really funny dude!!

Then we pull up to this little local library thing because my date and his friends all wanted math books (yes they're nerds💀) so me and my friend begin walking around. But everytime we walked around, my date would pop up and go "Oh! There you guys are! Are you guys still doing okay?" Which I thought was cute haha, but he told him yeah and he'd walk off with his friends. Then he popped up again and handed me this manga and said "This has two boys kissing, I know you like that stuff, so I thought about you and there's a whole section over here if you wanna come!" So of course I headed over there with my friend and it was YAOI ALL IN JAPANESE 😭😭 it was really awesome and I thought it was so cute that he immediately wanted to show me the yaoi books he found.

Then after a while we left and went to the lake. I met his friends, and some of them kept asking how I knew my date. He's not from my state, he's only lived here for about a year. We live in different cities, and I don't go to college so I didn't meet him at work. So of course, naturally, they were just curious. But it only made me embarrassed because I didn't know what to say!!! So I stuttered, or changed the topic, or I just said we were friends. There were two friends I did tell that I met my date through a dating app. But honestly I didn't know what to tell them💀💀 because we're seeing each other, but we're not officially dating or boyfriends. And I didn't want to overstep myself, I don't think he cared or anything but I was thinking too much about it💀

But anyway, that day came and went, his friends were REALLY cool and funny people. I got to meet his two best friends, who seemed to like me haha. One of them said they liked my name, Rhys, and said that 'Rhys' is the best way to spell that name and that they knew another guy named that and he was cool. So they liked my name and thought I was cool too lol. The other friend is autistic too, like me and my date, but they don't talk to people they don't know and so on. So during the car trip to the lake they didn't talk to me at all other than a polite hello when my date introduced me. But when I mentioned I liked YGO then they turned around and talked about it with me. And on the way back from the lake, I brought up YGO again and we talked about it until we got to their apartment and they left.

I'm glad his friends liked me! And my bsf definitely liked my date's friends and my date in general. My friend kept saying that me and my date were almost the same person lol.

And I know we are because one of his friends that met at the Rocky Horror showing was there, so I got to talk to him again. We talked about movies, and he brought up the new Odyssey movie and my brain instantly jumped to Spade Odyssey, so I looked at him and said 'Space Odyssey? You want to watch Space Odyssey?" But he said no and that he meant to Christopher Nolan movie, but then he gave me a knowing look and said "Weird that you said that... Because Mark said the exact same thing earlier, did you guys watch it or something because I think he said you guys did."

I told him "Oh, yeah.. Mark and I watched it the other day at his place. Haha, that's funny though. But yeah, sorry, Space Odyssey is one of my favorite movies so when you said Odyssey I just thought of Space Odyssey instead."

But I thought it was cute that me and my date had the exact same thought and reaction lol. He's so fucking cute I can't

I also just came back from a week long vacation trip out of town with my friends, and he wants to see me because next weekend he's going out of two to a competition. And obvio I want to see him too lol. But I got him a bunch of stuff from my trip and I REALLY want to give it to him...

So I'mma see him tomorrow!! I can't wait GODDDD I miss him so much...

I got him a The Wind Rises DVD because that's his favorite movie, I got him Arcane S1 deluxe version or whatever DVD also because he loves Arcane as well, then I got him this mood changer heart locket with an axolotl on it because I thought it would be cute (even though he doesn't wear jewelry), and this Elden Ring manga because he LOVES Elden Ring, then two cat keychains that were super cute cuz he loves cats, and I got him this tiny basket with little Mexican tools inside for decoration, and an even smaller basket full of pan dulces because I'm Chicano and I really wanted to give him something from my culture, then lastly a parrot magnet and a sugar skull magnet too.

Oh and I got this greeting card made from this small artist at this mall I went to that said "IDK why but I saw this and thought of you", so of course I had to get it and I did drawings of him inside it since he really likes my drawings. Before I forget too, I also got him this cute kitty patterned long sleeve button up from a thrift shop during my vacation too. It was just too cute, and I just know he'd look so cute in it!

Or better, you actually got assaulted by one of them, tell your best friend, and they immediately go and befriend that person-- forcing you to be friends with them. And everytime you bring it up it's just "well... You misjudged her... She was homeschooled and doesn't know proper people skills... Don't judge her on her bad first impression..." Or said best friend talks about how they want to sleep and date your ex that you were absolutely so in love with-- mock you. And go behind your back and say "I think he's still in love with his ex" STOP BRINGING HIM UP TO ME!!!!!! Or comparing your mom being dead to having a friend leave y'all behind as the same thing. Oh cool, well my mom is dead and I can never see her again or know how she's doing. But yeah, that friend that ran away was a pedo and was running back to her kid boyfriend she literally assaulted. But yeah, the pain of her leaving is the same pain as me losing my mom, seeing her pale dead face, feeling her cold skin, and crying so hard and losing sleep for the next two years that I was hallucinating. Yeah, it's the same pain.

Didn't say happy birthday to me, but said "happy birthday to my BEST FRIEND ever!!!" To the friend who assaulted me who has the same birth month as me, and then not invite me and my best friend to HER BIRTHDAY PARTY, not mention it in our shared GC, and then take pictures and post it everywhere. Left me and my friend almost homeless and didn't say anything, kept her key, then had to NERVE to get her stuff from the apartment AFTER I PAID FOR AN EXTRA DAY TO PACK, AND AFTER I PAID THE RENT THAT MONTH. AFTER SHE TRESPASSES ON MY PROPERTY TO GET HER STUFF BACK AFTER SHE FUCKING LEFT WITH NO WORD.

Or that best friend said something so horrendously ableist towards YOU and people with your disorder and when you call them out for it they don't react and they shrug it off and later gaslight you that she didn't actually say it that way WHEN YOU KNOW SHE DID. But you make a half slight about that friend that ran away to her child bride and YOU'RE the bad guy. YOU'RE the terrible friend. And YOU need to suffer and be abandoned.

When you only moved out cause said best friend begged you and said she'd literally kill herself if you didn't-- so you did and you made her promise she wouldn't leave you stranded. Then proceeded to strand you.
