I feel blessed having Dr. Mike taking care of me when I need it most! @Zovabody is the only place I trust in Tulsa to keep me training and performing at a high level. I also have been training my fingers obsessively before heading back to Colorado next month. All this training has been balanced with a lot of recovery techniques like, BFR (blood flow restriction therapy), stretching, and lots of antagonist exercises. Most importantly I believe what I've been putting in my body has played a big role in my recovery and growth process. I've been taking Supercharged collagen from @physivantage twice a day, usually, right as I wake up with coffee. I then wait 30-60 minutes before doing a short BFR session with finger rolls to get a pump. This helps the tendons receive the nutrients you've put in your body in the form of collagen with high amounts of vitamin C. It's nice to see the adaptation taking hold even in the beginning sessions as I get back into the swing of things. From ZOVA Ambassador @vengasalas γ»γ»γ» As y'all might have noticed, I haven't shared much lately, so I thought I'd write this as an update so you know I'm still kickin'- Although, I'm not quite sure what to say... β’ β’ β’ Still training like mad for the approaching fall/winter climbing season, and my goals of climbing several v12 projects this year. I've been working hard trying to understand my weaknesses in order to build a better machine. This has consisted mostly of tendon and sinew training. Luckily I feel fortunate that I have access to lots of great training information, and a super strong motivated crew. For myself, I have come to understand that it is really important to always be challenging myself, and having friends I trust challenge me as well. Sometimes we can get stuck in our own heads and focus too hard on our strengths rather than where we could be improving. β’ β’ β’ Unfortunately, I tweaked something in my back, so I've had to take some time off. On the bright side, this has given me the opportunity to start learning how to Dj and subsequently mix and produce music. It's been a lot of fun and having a good buddy to learn with has been really valuable. If you want to see more about this process, let me know! β’ β’ β’ The Salas Media team been working hard on the documentary, and we're starting to have a pretty rad storyline put together. Hope to have a trailer out sometime later this year. β’ β’ β’ Lastly, social media has been the last thing on my mind to tell you the truth. With the rise of the infodemic and the subsequent demagoguery to follow. Media seems to have brought out the worst in people, and I simply needed a break from it all. My aim with the media has always been to build up those around me and share my personal achievements and passions. I love the community aspect that Social media has to offer, And I look forward to becoming more consistent with my posts and thoughts.
