I would suggest trimming down the fur/hair so as to make them more buglike — Grasshopper specifically looks more like a mammal than an insect, and if it wasn’t for the tail-like string of body segments and legs on Centipede (which is a cool concept, by the way!) I wouldn’t be able to tell that he’s meant to be… well, a centipede.

Something else that contributes to the too-mammalian thing is the choice to make Grasshopper and Centipede have sort of hybrid features between a goat and a feline/canine, ie. the hind legs with paws at the bottom. Though I think the bent legs could make sense for Grasshopper, for obvious reasons.

However, if all of this is just your own style and the way you go about drawing characters in general, then sure, roll with it! I’m just offering my own two cents. And I will say, one detail I enjoyed (besides Centi’s tail thing that I mentioned earlier) is the little spikes/thorns on Grasshopper’s feet. :D

One last thing, I feel that if there’s one character where incorporating the fur would be fitting, it’s definitely Spider. Spider floof ftw. Also, some spiders actually do have feet that look like paws!

Because the book tells me Earthworm/Centipede is canon, and that amuses me beyond belief. Plus, I was told to do it.
