That’s the thing — Revali never intended to. It’s nothing but sheer coincidence that she found him brooding over his injured wing. A brief lapse in judgment saw the rito’s pride cloud his rationality, underestimating his sturdy opponent. Naturally, the champion prevailed in the end, but not without his wing bearing a deep laceration, a result of the lynel’s spear penetrating fragile flesh when thrown. 

Revali initially planned to retreat to his nest, yearning for some solitude. As he meticulously tended to his ravaged feathers, he was oblivious to Mipha's silent arrival, only realizing too late that she’s already witnessed the damage. For as gentle as Mipha is, and how comfortable and calm the rito finds himself in her presence, the thought of displaying vulnerability in front of anyone else is daunting.

His pride is wounded.

He cannot bring himself to respond to her question. 

"My intuition perhaps. You seem to follow danger quite closely."

It comes out a bit more with a bite than intended. She merely just worries for the Rito's wellbeing. Sure, Lynels were not creatures to play fun little games with, but she was the HEALER. It was her sworn duty to protect the other Champions, come what may. If that meant facing one with her trident, then that is how it shall go.

And sure, they all had their pride. The Zora was not excused from that fact. However, she could swallow hers.

Mipha closed the distance between her and Revali. Golden irises staring directly at the slash to his wing. He could still fly if desperate enough, but why wait for the injury to heal when she could use her powers? She then holds out her hand, smiling softly.

When the two finally pulled away, he remained close, his hand having found hers and wrapped around it.

“Found with my fiancé, how will I live down the shame?” He smiled to match her teasing. Mipha was more versed in courtly manners between the two of them, but he’d had his fair share drilled into him when he joined the knights.

Home. He’d been raised across Hyrule, spending time in Hateno and the castle and the Zora domain alike, but yes, this place had become home. For the simple reason that Mipha was here.

…but what if this was the last time they spoke? The last time they kissed? What if this revelation was too much? His brow furrowed and the sullen silence from before she arrived returned. It would be hard to give voice to this burden, but if he could not tell Mipha, then who could he tell? Zelda’s own memories were still slumbering.

Yet, unlike those times, his current glance was not comforting. What he had to tell her, it was most serious. "What is it?" She leaned forward on the rocks to peer around the knight, following the direction to which he faced. Bright hues flickered, and curiosity turned to awe in a mere second. && for a moment, Mipha forgets to breathe.

There it is.

"Goddess, is that the-"

The Master Sword.

Once upon a time, when Mipha was a hatchling, she remembered hearing from the children of the Hylian Knights about this fantastical sword of unlimited power. An air of superiority enveloped the children as they mused that the sword belonged to only the most worthy of Hylian Knights... a hero to defeat evil. Then they would argue where it was left: in the Lost Woods, below the Temple of Time, deep under Lake Hylia, where the Zora couldn't even reach. (If there was such a place!)

Buried deep in the soil, mud, or lost in the trees, the sword was flawless. Even still veiled in its scabbard, it was decorated with gold that glistened in the sun's rays, and an unknown metal that shined just as bright. It did not seem to... emit a powerful light like the legends foretold. (Nor would Mipha ask such silly questions!)
