Uh oh sisters! I have depression!
I also have a full time job, and that with my mental health has really been hindering the quality of Zoo Academy. Quality of the comic art wise has improved, but story and composition wise, it's not how I want it to be.
Zoo Academy is an incredibly important story to me, but I started without a plan or any proper ideas, meaning that the starting is incredibly weak. There's also a lot of characters that I have trouble keeping up with.
I need to work on reworking and fixing Zoo Academy so it can be the best that it can be, but that may need to involve completely rebooting and rewriting it, along with taking time to learn how to better my own story telling abilities. Zoo Academy is meant to be much wilder than it is, and I just don't currently have those skills.
I'm going to take some time off as a break and work on other projects. This may take some time, but I will pick up Zoo Academy again. I'm going to keep my patreon open, but I will most likely but rarely post updates on other projects as well. Don't seem pressured to continue financially supporting me, all patron posts will be public view.

The paw print symbol on ZA and some of the art youâve done for younger versions of some of the characters: is that a Bifera Pride symbol? Is it something else? Does it just look cool?
A paw print with an equals sign is it is a symbol for bifera equality, and stores will put those stickers on their windows to show that biferas are allowed in much like how stores will put a pride flag sticker on their windows.
If Cocoâs ears and tails are black but his hair is green... does this mean he dyed his hair? Or does he naturally have green hair but black fur?
While Biferas can have natural unnatural hair colours, Coco just dyes his hair!

Aracia mentioned being âa rare breedâ and I think in the past youâve said that arachnid Bifera arenât common. Is the reason most Bifera we see in ZA are of mammals due to DNA compatibility issues?
ya pretty much. Cats were the most compatible so most bifera are even just the smallest bit cat, but there are families with specific DNA that can handle rarer strands.
How common are aquatic Bifera? Like Bifera that are from fish, dolphins, etc?
They exist but often have to live near constant water so they donât dry out, and some with a higher DNA percentage prefer to actually live in water.

Destiny's accent is somewhat Romanian and definitely thick. Itâs foreign, but canât be placed.

So uh, how do you feel about people being kin with zoo academy characters?
Iâm fine with it! None of the characters as of yet are based off myself or my own personal trauma (although some are inspired by this) so I have no issue with people relating to or identifying with any of these characters.
As long as no one claims they ARE a character with a characters memories. I know thatâs a rare form of otherkin thatâs often just trolls, I just want people to recognise that my art of my characters isnât specifically catered to them.
