Forest Owls

The shameless sales pitch didn't get by him, but he definitely felt he could go for some blueberry pancakes. He was supposed to be on a regular diet to keep healthy, but Watts had been known to sneak a couple sweets in every once in a while. Besides, Zone wouldn't be up for another couple hours so there really wasn't much to worry about. "It's not too bad, actually! I guess I'm so used to it, I really don't notice!" It was true, though. Watts had the same hat for years and tended to wear it throughout all the seasons. It was comfortable and meant he didn't have to fuss with his hair too much. But it was clear he was much more interested in talking about food than his hat, especially with the way he held a hand over his belly to silence the rumbling noises. "So I'm guessing you sell blueberry pancakes?"

Opening up the shop for business, the lady noticed someone passing by and smiled at them winsomely. “Good morning, sir. Off on a morning stroll?”

He was a little surprised by the greeting, being that most people in town seemed to keep to themselves for the most part. Looking side to side, he realized she couldn't have been talking to anyone else, and so he lifted his hand and gave a small wave.  "I sure am, Sir!" he mentioned quickly, before correcting to 'ma'am'. While he found 'sir' appropriate in all situations, he remembered that some women could get uncomfortable with that. "It's pretty nice out, isn't it? I'm sure it'll get super hot mid-day though!"

"I’m hungry," she whined to nobody in particular and rubbed her stomach which growled loudly in protest. "I wonder if someone’s already made lunch…" One of the members of The Forest Owls were bound to have made something by now for everyone, she thought as she slipped out of her bed and started to the entrance of her room. “C’mon Angelo. Let’s go get some food.”

After just moments of returning to the base from the home of the Forest Fox with fresh bread, he was ushered through the hallway in a quickly decided draft from the rest of the team. It was his job to wake her up this time and he was incredibly nervous, protesting at their shoves. But when they backed away, it was clear he had no choice. His stomach was in knots as he pressed his ear up against her door. He hoped she had already woken up. He barely heard a voice through the barrier and sighed in relief. He wouldn't risk his life this day. He knocked on the door to let her know he was there. "Watts is almost done with lunch, Princess!"

"Sounds like a plan to me!" -skitters and collects stuff. Comes back with a bright green scarf with pink flowers and a orange knit hat and matching mittens, though one mitten seems to be missing a tumb.- "Waaaaaattttts! You back yet?"

He was a little late, coming back after having chased Angelo a few blocks. That dog did NOT want to give up those sticks.  He heaved a little, drawing in gasping breaths as he set a few items on the ground before him. Normally, on his runs, he was able to focus on breathing correctly, but after shouting for the dog to come back, his lungs were screaming at him.  "I found," he wheezed, "two bottle caps for the eyes." One of them was some kind of beer, the other seemed to be some sort of chocolate drink. "A radish for the nose." He had actually bought that one. "And for the mouth, spare change." He held out his hand and showed her the various coins.  "Think it'll work?"

"Arms? Oh, yes! We’ll a couple of the sticks from the park! I think I saw some on the ground from the last storm! OH, and he’ll need mittens too! You can have Angelo help find the sticks!"

"Alright! Meet back here in ten minutes! If we don't find everything in time, we'll just use what we have!" It'll be more silly looking that way.

"Okay, Watts! I’ll go grab a scarf and hat if you’ll find a nose and someing for the eyes and mouth!"

"Yes, Princess! I'll try my best! What about arms? It'll need arms!"
