14 mile run yesterday. It was my longest run to date and my second time ever running a half marathon distance. Definitely started feeling it in my joints around mile 11. If you live in Washington and ever thought, “I wonder what it’s like to ride my bike on Hwy 18, since it’s legal.” I can now confidently say it’s like staring death in the face. @x43x took me on quite the adventure today. We road 57 miles with 4,300 feet of climbing. There was also a trail so treacherous that eventually we had to get off our bikes and hike too. I joke that I have some kind of curse because out of the 20 or so triathlons I’ve done there always seems to be rain involved. Yesterday was definitely the worst. Look at those ominous clouds on my warm up run. It poured until the end of the bike and felt like I had little lakes in each of my shoes!
