Wait is Good Omens just me loving Sanders Sides again
Aziracrow - Mociet
:|
I didn't know that people were insecure about hip dips until recently
I saw a post somewhere once that were talking about hip dips and how they found it attractive when I was like 13 or maybe it was an art tutorial or something
So for the most part of my life I just assumed people found hip dips as a beauty standard and unrelentingly hot
And still kind of do tbh
You know what, I feel like the Finale could have been emotionally fixed for me even if everything happened the way it did
Except at the end, it's Asa, turned around with the door of the bookshop in the background unfocused, his face at a shoulder shot, him to the side and the door angled as if it were another character.
Then, we hear the jingle of the door. The camera pans to centre Asa. His eyes light up as he softens, as if he'd been waiting for a long, long time, and calls out
"Crowley"
It's always 'To the World' and never
To my Angel. To my Demon.
To my Best Friend.

I'm just thinking about how that was genuinely not what either of them ever wanted
I think what upset me most about the Good Omens ending was that they made their relationship ABOUT fate. Or rather, BECAUSE of fate.
See, the appeal of Aziracrow for me anyway, was that they were always about defying fate. They never loved each other because they were always going to. They loved each other despite what fate said. And fate said an Angel and a demon could never get along, let alone fall in love.
What they had was the one thing that was never written. The one thing they had in common. It was a dynamic beyond labels. What made it work was that they didn't HAVE to be together. But they chose to, every single time.
They were together because they chose to be, not because they were meant to be.
I feel like that's what the finale got wrong. Suddenly it was a bittersweet ending that was meant to shock you because they didn't do things how you'd expect them to go. And it felt wrong.
Because you cannot tell me that Crowley and Aziraphale would not always choose each other.
Because when it all came down to it, that's what they always had done. It was never about humanity. It was always them. Always an 'us'.
It felt like I was watching a completely different show from how differently they were all acting.
Because from all that build up about defying all odds and choosing each other, for them to not even acknowledge that they loved each other (I know it was an unsaid thing but come on), and disappearing, then we see them reincarnated and falling in love? Just makes no sense.
Because that stripped away everything that made them compatible in the first place. What made them so special is that they were the only ones like each other, in existence. They understood each other like nobody else could ever have, not because of fate. They both actively fought fate side by side. It was never about humanity, it was just the excuse they used because they never wanted to say it out loud.
Because what they really chose, was each other.
And with these new human versions, there's none of that. They'll never trust each other the way they used to, never like that. They'll never make hard decisions for the sake of the other. They'll never choose each other even when the stakes are impossible the way they did. And they'll never understand each other the way they did.
Aziraphale and Crowley were never together because fate told them to. They chose to be in spite of it.
And that's coming from me. I'm a sucker soulmate stories.
Minding the rant of some of the grievances I had with the Good Omens Finale, I still did enjoy it, here are some things I'd noticed/want to point out
• Man, the second coming looks like it would have been such a GOOD plot, almost similar to Gabriel, maybe a mix of Gabriel and Adam, mixed with a weird flipped aziracrow dynamic
• OWWW HOW AZIRAPHALE WAS MOST DEFINATELY CHOOSING CROWLEY IN THE END 😭 He learned at the very end that he did want his selfish desire, but finally chose to let it lie because he loved Crowley so much that what he wanted was more important, contrasting s2 finale 💔
• The Book Of Life plot looks like it could have been so cool lowkey
• At first I didn't really like how quickly they went back to normal, but it could be chalked up to the lack of time, and it probably would have been more natural had there been. But it made sense, because in the end they do love each other, and have always accepted each other's flaws and it's always just been like that, that's just how their dynamic's been since the beginning.
• I didn't really like the message at the end. I really thought it was all building up to be 'you can't just give up because it seems impossible' and then they just.. did? I thought the whole gimmick was that there was always another way
• The lack of old characters made it feel like it wasn't a series finale. Maybe some actors just didn't want to return or something I don't know but I kind of wish Gabriel and Beelzebub would have had a role at all, or like a mention of Anathama and Pulsifer. Also what happened to Shax
• tbh I didn't even like the reincarnation bit. It just felt like consolation for how it ended.
Despite my ranting, they did the best they could with what they were given. Like the acting and visuals were beautiful and unfortunately thats just how it goes with cancelled shows. It's just a bit disappointing because Good Omens meant a lot to me for years and it felt like it didn't stay true to itself. I can't quite name what exactly it is that left me so unsatisfied though. I kind of knew it wouldn't leave me satisfied though, especially from how season 2 ended it just simply wasn't enough time to wrap it up in a way that pays off all the set up. Oh well, it will always still have a very special place in my heart. I'll just pull a murder drones and pretend the finale never happened
Omg I just finished the Good Omens Finale (late, I know I had exams to do)
But like I get that it was under a time pressure but its not that that leaves me unsatisfied, it's the ending itself
Like, I don't know, it just didn't feel like the same show to me. There felt like a lot of things missing. It felt just all too easy? I guess. Like if the solution was always going to be restart the universe, what was the point in trying to change how it was at all?
I get what they were trying to do but they didn't really 'save' humanity, they remade it. And then the reincarnation thing was cute I guess, but I don't know why but they just didn't feel like they were the same characters even though I know they were.
I feel like their number one thing that drew them together was their history, and the trust they built together (reluctantly) over time.
That's just not there with these reincarnations. And technically Aziraphale and Crowley never actually got their happy ending.
They worked and worked and worked so hard and they never even got to have a moment to freely love each other as they were.
I know it's meant to be like that with it building up to, it was always meant to be more than them, bittersweet ending but I can't help but feel sad :(
Weird how people are all for supporting small studios until they become successful
I bet you if tadc finale was not mainstream and in the spotlight it wouldn't have been so harshly critisized
Sure it had its flaws but surely you can find the beauty in the production no?

Hey remember in like 2020-2022 in like every Sanders Sides fanfic you'd have

- Logan Berry/Croft
- Patton Hart
- Roman Prince
- Patton with the religious guilt and or depression
And like usually it was like Virgil and Patton as Best friends and Logan and Roman as cousins
Experimenting with style + colours !
Wow a piece that's not muted colours?? I think drawing sonic helped me make my colours more vibrant lol
Once upon a time I knew all the abbreviations to every sanders sides episode
Holy shit I just discovered that Gacha Studio icon Emily Kitty deleted her channel???
Instead of studying for my exam that decided my entire future I went on a deep dive on old gacha and she was no where to be found??
There's no way I'm finding out like this 💔
