using this mod for hardcore mode, btw!

weapons limit:

max 2 sidearms, can pick up an extra but must drop it if ammo is depleted. currently using amata's 10mm

same as above with "big" guns, currently using a hunting rifle and a combat shotgun as they're incredibly useful when your arms are crippled, i've learned...

10 grenades/mines limit, unless he's just picking up mines to move them around one location

1 melee weapon. baseball bat currently until i find a combat knife...

since ammo has weight now i try to only pick up ammo for the guns he has, and maybe a liiittle extra for bartering.

food & drink:

can't eat anything he wouldn't eat in character. so no mole rat meat, dog meat, or bug meat even if he's starving. pre-packaged foods, fruits/veggies, and mirelurk meat is where it's at. dirty water is an absolute last resort, he'll live on nuka-cola before he drinks that muck. unfortunately he keeps running out of nuka-cola.

travel & rest:

no fast travel!! we walk like men and are at the mercy of fo3 random encounters

hasn't happened yet since he's still returning to megaton at the end of every day, but if he's gotta sleep somewhere in the wastes he's allowed a max 3 hours of sleep. less if it's in a real dangerous area. also if he's been walking a while and he gets hungry or thirsty he's gotta have a sit and maybe set up a campfire (i love mods that let you do useless things like this)

when he's in megaton he's gotta be in his comfy clothes (vault utility jumpsuit)
