Alright! I managed to go to the first day of a con in Chicago called C2E2. Busted out the Tigrex Hammer to walk show floor. I met some new hunters, handed out my business cards, and talked Monster Hunter in general with new faces. Even convinced some people to try the series. Too bad I could only attend one day.

Also Master Chief is a hammer main lol.

P.S I’ve been hitting the gym again and it shows in my arms when holding the hammer for the first time in forever. 😂

Been making some progress on my Rey Dau piece. I’ve enjoyed working on the background so far. And the lightning.

Anyways, I’m working on some new art pieces! Currently I have a whole list of ideas to draw, but up first are Arkveld and Rey Dau!

In the summer I’ll also be working on the next weapon build too. Sadly due to financial problems I could not make one over the winter/spring like normally do in time for con season. Which I’m also skipping this year as well for money reasons.

Enough about that and look forward to updates from me! I promise that I will try to make a set of dual blades and most likely a long sword!

Alriiiight! I just recently finished my latest weapon prop and this time it was the Astalos Sword and Shield!

This one is weird because life got in the way and the build time was wonky because of it. Still around a month, just over to make in total. Just spread out over the year.

I built the bulk of the sword in a week. Then bits and pieces recently again to finish the guard. The paint-job was interesting, but god so many layers to get the neon green/lime green to pop.

The shield was frustrating because I chose foamboard to give it more structure, but because the material is unable to handle any adhesives I normally use because of corrosion and melting. I had to coat it in mod podge in order to adhere anything to it.

I also did some alt work on the Zinogre design tonight. I hope people really like the changes! Here is the link to the alt design hoodie!

Did some messing around and made an alt design for Rathalos since the basic squared one was bugging me. Might make more alts for existing designs.

Also have a zip-up hoodie with the alt design. Heck, might even do Azure or Silver alt designs if people are interested.

This is my Gore Magala greatsword build! It took about a month and a half work time to make and paint back in spring of 2023. It stands over 6 feet and is even taller than the hammer! Weight-wise it’s top heavy as to be expected, but it’s manageable.
