on page confirmation that zoro really has and has been using conqueror's haki, but he didn't realize it, is something I wanted to see so much!!

and the fact that luffy(!!) knew and felt it around him, but never said anything or asked, because he just knows zoro is strong and that's enough for him and they always understand each other even without overly explaining each other, is so well depicted!

but the fact that zoro is one of the very mindful of what powers are needed to have luffy's back and who's always put effort to build himself up to have the strength for his crew and luffy, and unlocked this conqueror's haki without realizing.. i hope we get to see him think about it more in next chapters.

(adds here my very long and maybe outdated meta about zoro's strenght , which is corresponding with sanji's abilities - and the fact that it's both of them in these panels in the new chapter is interesting. i love it, there's always the feel how everything is connected with the past arcs. i hoped for the zoro & strength to be concluded in egghead which didn't happened, but the fact it's now hinted on during elbaf and basically spans the whole manga and story is even better. after all, it's his point to be the strongest to beat mihawk, and that being his arc - how to grapple with the strength he already has - is very interesting how it's presented. )

I feel like we don't talk enough about this particular scene??? like how zoro's resting stoic(?) face turns into a little smile that gradually gets wider as he looks at his captain?? and i didn't really save the video version of this, but the way zoro softly says "luffy" like, what the fudge...

And zoro casually smirking at his captain while the rest of the strawhats were like "???" Idk but he really is the one who gets his captain the most?? and this has been proven from time to time throughout the animanga and i have also talked about this topic before... somewhere around here.

Like trust in zoro's ability to be the first to immediately connect/get what's on his captain's mind!! and even at times when he can't instantly know what's on luffy's mind, he trusts his captain enough to always (almost always?) react appropriately

The way in chapter 594: message, the rest of strawhats immediately understood the hidden message, but zoro... although he may have taken a little more time compared to the others, but he was the only one who clearly pointed out that this was not his captain kind of thing (because he knw his captain way too well), and even managed to correctly guess that it was probably rayleigh's idea?
