As everyone was filing out of the office, making the most of a rare early finish, Zoey settled the baby back in the car seat and went about packing up the items Glenn had bought. Bottles and formula, burp cloths, extra diapers. Zoey frowned.

“You know, we’re gonna need more than this. I know Glenn got a few onesies, but the kid’s gonna need something to sleep in.”

Joan eyed the baby a little cautiously at that noise. “Ok? What do you suggest?”

“You know how you said you’ve never been to Target? That’s about to change.”

It took another fifteen minutes for them to actually get out of the office and when the elevator doors opened, Zoey thought Joan was seriously going to bolt.

“Joanie.” Ava eyed the brunette, and then frowned at the baby in the car seat. “Babysitting, are we?”

“I’m a foster parent.”
