Hello, Sims2 creator. I like to play with colors and view art in 3d games.
I've been a tumblr lurker, but only recently opened this account to share with the Sims2 community outside of @furbyq-sims Discord.
I'm still learning how to do all the things I want with this game.

If you'd like to support via monetary donation, please let me direct you to my friend @furbyq who is in need of aid, which by extension supports the Discord server and the people who help me immensely with modding.

Clearing out my WIP project files, here are 3 chair leg recolors for the director chair.
This living chair was a bonus reward for pre-ordering Freetime. Mesh is included, renamed for convenience.
Thanks go to @shastakiss, I believe they made these legs a recolorable subset, and posted chair recolors on one of their websites with the other bonus items. The original mesh was shared at MATY.
Sharing a link to my current projects/backup folder--which I just created, but will be adding to.
http://simfileshare.net/folder/272320/
These files are usable, but I hope to tweak, expand, change things.
Note: The coloring may look terrible--sometimes I need a placeholder while planning a project (to test how lighting will affect an object, etc).
EA Store Cubic
Hopefully, I will tweak sofa/wood colors, add more metal and wood colors, test colors again on raised vs original rugs, and figure out how to link on-off lighting for metal part of the wall lamp.
EA Store Spooky
I might post current progress? I'm still undecided on so many things--wood versus stone, etc. This is a hard set for me to work on, because it takes skill to lighten a low quality texture and keep it looking good--more skill than I have, so the current project is in an embarrassing state.
Paintings
Sink
I have a default for the loft/um pedestal sink (the one with recolorable glass). I switched the silver metal to black, and the brown rubber leg tubing to violet. When trying to decide on a color for the rubber tubing, @buddydolly suggested green, and I thought that was an excellent idea! What this sink needs is a CEP-Extra for the leg tubing, I just haven't made one, haven't checked if there is one out there (probably not), and honestly I strip the game to bare bones when modding/testing and take out CEP most of the time.
Remember my 4t2 Sixam project I started 2 years ago? Which I almost scrapped but revisited sometime last year? ... well, I've got good news for you then. It's finally out now! ^^
Welcome to Sixam!
Sixam City, a thriving metropolis on the planet of Sixam, home to Sixam Academy, a prestigious intergalactic university that provides special training for aspiring students to become Birth Queens, Colony Drones, or even the latest innovation in alien technology: Pollination Technicians. Renowned for its cultural diversity and interstellar expeditions, the city nurtures a community focused on curiosity, inclusivity and innovation.
Yes, I recreated the secret alien world from TS4 for TS2 as a custom university subhood! Why as a university subhood you may ask? Well, I tried to keep the original vibes of Sixam of it being an "unlockable"/visitable place your sims can explore rather than a regular neighborhood your sims can live in!
Even after graduation, your sims can actually stay and live in the university subhood using Lamare's YAs can enjoy maternity (and all that) mod, as well as Lamare's Pets at University mod!
Update!! (June 24th 2026)
I made-over the entire neighborhood using my animated 4t2 Sixam plants I uploaded earlier this year, this includes all lots in the neighborhood! So, you can totally have the full TS4 Sixam experience in TS2 now!
Oh... and one more thing, as requested, I finally uploaded a Main Hood, as well as a Downtown version of Sixam Academy, ahem... it's Sixam City now! All the original playables have graduated and are adults now... and the drama goes on! It's like they never left! XD

More info under the cut...
Neighborhood Info:
The Main Hood/Downtown versions do require all EPs/SPs though, since I wanted to include apartment lots. I miiight do an alternative version without AL one day, so that TS2 Super Collection users can also use it. The University version is still Uni+NL+OFB EP only regardless.
No camera mod is needed, yet, still recommended for easier gameplay, especially since some lots were built on skyscrapers and can be hard to view with just the vanilla camera.
Number of Sims: 90 (10 playable sims in 4 playable families, 31 townies, 44 NPCs, 5 dead sims) -> 130 now! (including alien pets and other bonus NPCs!)
Number of Lots: 35 (7 residential lots, 2 Greek houses, 5 dorms, 1 secret society, 20 community lots, where 8 of which are owned businesses) -> + 2 bonus lots! (A mysterious Nebula Brick Road lot and Alien Parrrtey!, a lot inspired by the alien party lot in TS4 when you visit Sixam, lol.)
Gameplay Info:
Speaking of lots, I made lecture halls for every major, which you could use with beestew's Active Classes mod! These are community lots, featuring skill-building equipment and study spaces, with NPC professors (as lot owners) available for tutoring whenever your sims visit. The Main Hood/Downtown version still includes these lecture halls, so if you ever wanted to try out the university-in-main-hood mods, this is the perfect neighborhood to try Squinge's Mega College Pack mods out.
I also made an optional custom skybox and custom lighting file for Sixam that will make it always nighttime (Yes, you heard right! The sun never shines here on Sixam!) with subtle seasonal color changes - reddish in Autumn, bluish in Winter, and greenish in Spring.
The inhabited version requires the 3 alien skintones (blue/turquoise/violet) from my [4t2] aliens set to keep the TS4 alien characters like Aileen Rauvu authentic. As giving all these colorful aliens the default green skin instead felt as bad as white-washing, say, giving black characters like Olive Specter a lighter skintone for me. An alternative CC-free version with no CC skintones is also available for players who prefer to not have any CC skintones in their games, though.
I also recreated some characters from TS4, especially all the characters from the The Sims 4 Get to Work: Sul Sul trailer. Every character comes with a complete set of ancestors (at least parents) and customized memories, even townies and NPCs! Some also come with interesting lore! Even though, they're just... townies! Oh, and everyone has genetic infant faces! Yayy! XD
Speaking of characters, scripted events don't work in subhoods, but I wrote a text in each family description that somewhat mimic the scripted event notifications anyway. I think this is a brilliant and fun way of introducing new characters, even in university subhoods. All households should also have a complete set of family album pictures that show their lore a bit. The main hood version does however include scripted events. ^^
Recommended Mods:
All notownieregen/antiredudancy/nodormiespawn/nossrespawn mods. All university townies/NPCs in Sixam are aliens.. or at least have a very good reason why they're there, but this can easily be ruined if you don't have these mods installed, lol.
bloodredtoe's Mannequin babies can be born mod. To have more variety, I used the mannequin skintone for some of the alien sims. While this mod isn't required, it's recommended to prevent crashes, especially when these aliens have offspring, as there's a chance they could inherit the mannequin skintone.
Squinge's No Townie Memory Loss. Again, townies and NPCs in this neighborhood are highly customized and I recommend getting no townie amnesia mods to prevent their lore from getting wiped out! As there are a few clues in the bios of some of the townies... including long lost twins!
lingeringwillx's Restore Default Names for Sims in Subneighbohoods . This is especially helpful, not only because the townies/NPCs are related to the playable sims, but also, it will help to maintain the alien atmosphere of Sixam with names like Pollination Technicians, Colony Drones or Birth Queens, etc. instead of having EA's default townie/NPC names.

To EA for creating Sixam in the first place, even though it was originally created for the wrong game ;)
Makers of SimPE (especially with the newest version, allowing creation of customized NPCs!)
Mootilda for all her amazing tools, especially LotCompressor, LotAdjustor, HoodChecker, and her tutorial on how to create a custom subhood template.
Numenor for his AnyGameStarter, allowing for the creation of a Uni/NL/OFB only environment.
@lowedeus for his original skybox, which I recolored and modified to make the skybox season-friendly, as well as @criquette-was-here for the tutorial on how to make nhood objects glow at night.
Gwenke for the original ocean surface nhood deco, which I also recolored and modified to make it glow at night.
@catherinetcjd for all her inspring builds and also for being such an amazing friend. I recommend her Isosceles Apartments, Experiment 4.2, The Colony as well as her Pyramid Commune No. 9 Live, specifically as optional additional lots for this neighborhood. I learned a lot from you in the past few years of neighborhood and lot building!
Creusa Sims for her support and love while I was creating this neighborhood. It was fun discussing some of the lore in this neighborhood with you. XD
@lordcrumps for also being such an amazing friend! It was you who kept pushing me to actually redo the skybox when I wasn't happy with the draft version, lol! And also for your helpful inputs very early on. ^^
@lamare-sims for being such a talented modder and her amazing mods that make living in university subhoods possible in the first place! This concept wouldn't have otherwise made sense.
That's it for now I guess? I hope you have as much fun with this neighborhood as I had building it! <3
OMG, it's been literally a year since I released the original Sixam neighborhood and back then I promised I would do Main Hood / Downtown Subhood versions... very soon. Well, I could finally find some time off to do them, so, here they are! ^^
The Main Hood/Downtown version does however require all EPs/SPs though since I wanted to convert the skyscraper buildings into actual apartment lots. (I recommend this camera mod to prevent the camera from falling off to the ground btw). But the University subhood version is still Uni+NL+OFB EP only in case you use TS2 Super Collection.
Oh.. and I also made-over all lots and the neighborhood using the animated 4t2 Sixam plants, yayy! To make things easier in the future, I've decided to split the 4t2 Sixam CC in 2 downloads, while the custom skintones are zipped together with the neighborhood. The skybox & ocean floor are no longer included in this upload and need to be downloaded separately here.
Whilst at it, I also highly recommend downloading @alienara-simblr's wonderful 4t2 Sixam plant recolors. They look absolutely beautiful and would fit in perfectly in this neighborhood! I still kept my 4t2 Sixam nhood as close as possible to EA's original Sixam, but some alien plants look a thousand times better in some of her new recolors, lol.
Oh... and there's a couple of bonus lots + characters in the Main Hood/Downtown version! Here's a couple of screenshots to show you the changes! XD
Custom scripted events!!
Since this is no longer a university subhood, I decided to include some scripted notifications. The original playable sims have graduated and are all adults now! But the drama from college still goes on... XD
After playing each household on their first day, you can remove the scripting file from the neighborhood folder as you don't need it anymore. Hope you have fun! ^^
The next day after posting I noticed the bug had not cleared entirely. Housekeeper and chef were invisible in live mode, visible in buy mode.
It took another round of batbox force errors/fix invisible combined with moving out-in to clear it up. (@teaaddictyt batbox vase default)
Anyways, works fine for the past few days! Did a little test with housekeeper/butler, but I'll return to testing these combinations later.
Also tested various hairs with @agnesarchive's animated antennae. It is such a fun little animation.
Very hard to guess which hairs would work/not work with it--just depends on hair. Made no difference: static hairs vs animated, bangs vs none, creator/mesher, clay vs alpha, etc, but I will say a lot of alpha hairs (especially Newsea) did not play well, and then I'd be surprised by a random hair that did.
Took a few screenshots of random hairs that worked with the animated antennae.
And now back to breaking/modding rediscovering university in game.

Forgot what I was doing after being called away, so here's some random screenshots.
The Sixam Dorm I'm currently redecorating, funded entirely by 1 resident. Is there a way to decorate without using the resident (after moving in)? Been too long since I played a Uni dorm.
Update: did some testing, you can move character out of dorm and decorate for free, then move into dorm again. Not sure if this is unique to this location/my game, but the other student dormies did not change, they stayed in the same rooms.
Check out the glowing @alienara-simblr and @jawusa plants in the first screenshot!
Here is an almost cc-free Strangetown house with premade Singles and Loner families. With a beach backdrop, just because.
This gray house helped me color-palette cleanse between modding. I also wanted to test shasta's stairs, in case I wanted to color match the railing.
They are supposed to be ghosts, but I grew a little attached to the parents and haven't killed them off yet. They share a bedroom because I'm too lazy to use the 2nd floor ^_^.
Here are some favorite patterns I've used everywhere--rainbow houses, comic style, retro 80s/90s/y2k, rockstar, scifi, etc.
I can't locate any example screenshots, but you will see these in the background of other posts.
3 linoleum, 1 carpet, and 3 wallpapers (patterns split, 6 total wallpapers).
Wall patterns are split over 2 walls, labeled PART A and PART B.
Originally, I created wallpapers size 256x768 (best for my game), and sacrificed vertical continuity (don't use in open, multi-story spaces).
I knew one day I'd want vertically seamless options, so 3 months later I have created seamless 256x512 walls. This is good news for MAC users, who will now be able to use these walls.
You can have all 3 downloads installed at the same time.

In between modding and gaming, I love to explore other people's shared mods.
I have never played ACNH, but @rudhira and @simmer-until-tender shared some adorable stuff that is highly distracting.
The latest mod I installed is @jawusa's Sixam-inspired University. It is, of course, amazing.
This prompted me to dig through stored sci-fi mods I downloaded over the years.
I came across @biohole's 3t2 Ambitions/ITF mashup biosuit some years ago. It always bothered me that no one told windbreath/biohole in 2015 they didn't include matching files--there is no orange biosuit as seen in screenshots, colors are mislabeled, and one color is a plain white that was probably used as a recoloring base.
I'm no artist, and I didn't want to spend too much time on this, but I tested a few color options. Here are the best I sampled:
I just needed something quick with color.
Ideally, I would tweak the boots and back apparatus, but I'm not sure I want to spend more time on this. I need to research the shiny MAT I want to use (different shiny MATs used on sims vs objs).
If anyone is interested in my little poor-quality recoloring as is, I can share it later.
7 linoleum, 2 carpets, and 6 wallpapers (patterns split, 11 total wallpapers).
I get a little obsessed trying to preserve the best quality wall patterns from tiny patterns.
Most wall patterns are split over 2 walls, labeled PART A and PART B.

Here are 7 objects from the Store Cubic set with an extra subset made recolorable.
There are no new colors here, just an edit to the file to make parts recolorable. You can create your own recolors using SIMPE, and hopefully I'll share some recolors soon.
These items already had the parts needed to make a recolorable subset, but EA didn't make them recolorable because there weren't any extra colors.
Sims2 has a limit of 2 recolorable subsets, so I chose to make the metal recolorable.
If/when I learn how to link 2 states for lit/unlit lamps, I'll add a metal subset to the wall lamp (unless someone else is willing to help?).
The store sets were shared by @shastakiss (GOS, sims2artists), from MATY.
You will need to remove the 7 old cubic items from your downloads folder.
I'm sharing 2 versions of the same files--1 version is simply renamed for download organization. It is something I prefer to easily keep sets together.

Still here, still working on stuff when not too busy!
Recently, the store Cubic set has been on my mind. I have always wanted to see this set in bright colors. Has anyone shared fun recolors of this set?
I finally found some time to try it myself (i.e. shoved all my other projects aside). I have not recolored everything yet, but here is a picture of my initial test.
Wanting some bright colors, I chose some easy-to-relocate web safe colors (triadic colors on the color wheel). I picked a neon green for the metal, and a pink that wasn't as red as LACK.
One thing I did was make subsets recolorable that weren't already set up for it. When limited by the 2 subset limit, I have a few metal default replacements.
Some more progress photos:
That's about 71 files recolored (some not shown). Crazy! Still have a few more I want to add/edit.
I was going to make the wall lamp's metal recolorable...but I don't know how to link off/on state yet.
A large collection of glowing paintings, mostly supernatural themed.
9 paintings on ApartmentLife's Albert's Discordia
16 paintings on ApartmentLife's BraveNewSimlandia (8 paintings with silver or gold frame)
17 paintings on BonVoyage's Travelposter ( @shastakiss has a basegame compatible version somewhere)
14 paintings on 3t2 Rowena Oval paintings (@electricdecay's conversion from Sims3 Store Gothique collection)
1 default painting on Basegame Spherical Splendor (because I use Christianlov's skin selector)
1 glowing version of @jodeliejodelie's witch face on FamilyFunStuff's Circulator.
Included meshes: default downlow meshes by @hugelunatic, @shastakiss, and threadsandpaper of game paintings and the custom 3t2 painting so that you can raise and lower paintings (without dark shadows) if you have ApartmentLife or mods.
If you are a MAC user, skip the included meshes and go to @electricdecay's tumblr and download the original Rowena painting there.
NOTE: painting collection 3 is combined collections 1, 2 and 3.
If you already have collection 3 from Discord (Dec 2025), you do not need to redownload--this is the same file, now shared here and a backup on simfileshare.
A custom wallpaper and wall panel in 5 of @pooklet's 2022 The Endless Harvest palette. These fancy walls were created by k8 at parsimonious.org.
I tend to cover walls with decorations, so I've kept the recoloring simple due to time constraints. The walls have been tweaked for color matching since my initial Discord posting.
Walls are size 256x512 and safe for MAC computers.

Here are 3 more sculptures in 5 of @pooklet's 2022 The Endless Harvest palette.
Note: only the Ancient Urn has a LOD (neighborhood level of detail). I decided to use the game's original LODs (but might change my mind and update later).
Requirements: basegame for the Ancient Urn, PETS and CEP for the wall gargoyle, and NightLife for the cemetery Gray Lady.
Sidenote: I had not shared these yet, because I wanted to use a darker marble base for a couple sculptures. However, 3 months later and I still haven't gotten it done, so I thought I'd go ahead and share.
Another decorative item in 5 of @pooklet's 2022 The Endless Harvest palette.
This planter is found in Decorative>Plants and was a bonus item for pre-ordering Mansion and Garden. It was uploaded at moreawesomethanyou and I believe @shastakiss shares a copy somewhere.
I'm not sure if you actually need M&G for this file, I keep forgetting to check the requirements, sorry!
Note: mesh is included, but I renamed it for my own game. I had planned to add a subset for the flowers, but I have too many projects in the works.
