...He wasn't entirely sure how to feel, every time he saw him, even from the moment he realized who the cat was.
Pity? Sympathy? Sorrow? Or was it something more like reliefi? Should he feel happy for him, having been able to leave the monster behind? How did Kyou feel about it?
"...I brought you a blanket," he announced his presence to the cat, not entirely positive he'd accept this little peace offering. "You...looked cold."
it was strange at first, being stuck within his four-legged body. In all honesty, he'd spent the first week or so hiding as far under the front porch as he could manage, but slowly, he started to come out of hiding.
This was the first time he'd been content to curl up on the porch rather than under it, paws tucked under his body in a comfortable position beneath him. He wasn't cold per se, not at all really, and he'd eyed Yuki suspiciously when he began to walk over.
Okay, that was just weird. Yuki had never been actively nice to him in the past, was he sick? Was something else going on? He wasn't really sure what to think, in all honesty, and it showed in the way his tail tip flicked with uncertainty, ears twitching a little at the sound of the man's voice.
"Uh...Thanks, I guess?" He meowed after a moment, though he didn't move from his comfy little spot on the hardwood. He'd found a cozy little divot that he was able to fit perfectly in, and he wasn't keen on giving it up.
"You uh...You can sit down, if ya want..."
