and shattered volts actual name is Zeke Boyle
i lowk didnt know what first name to pick for char, so hes simon. but ive had his last name chosen for MONTHS, like since his creation. it stuck because its obvi a reference to him being fire themed, but also i like to think that after he left his family behind, he changed it to pheonix because 1, sick ass name, 2, what a phoenix represents [rebirth]. because when he ran away to be able to transition without any of his family stopping him, he felt like a new person and felt like changing his last name to 'pheonix' fit.
ok this is gonna be disappointing compared to chars yap but i only named volt 'zeke' because it reminds me of electricity. the other option was nova but zeke felt more natural to pick
echoflowcation [originally soaring-glow, i dont think i ever mentioned this name change. shes also a girl now] killed one of the top superstars / one she admired to be able to get into the superstars team. BASICALLY, echo applied for the position, and in the entrance exam to see if she was fit to be a hero, she was one of the best and once a position was free, she was guaranteed it. Echo didnt like this, she didnt want to wait who knows how long, so she put on a shitty disguise, faked a crime thatd make sure one hero showed up, and killed them. She didnt WANT to kill the hero she admired, but it was either her screwing up her chances of joining the team, or ACTUALLY getting in. so she chose the first option. she did this after a week or two, but after that she was getting impatient. her plan worked, she got in and got away with being the one that killed the hero. she does feel a little guilty about it, but her ego about being a hero was so big that she just pushed the thought to the side
gizmo originally didnt gaf abt char and volt, but when they started getting close to finding out the true nature of the superstars [being a hero team to hide how controlling the government is about people using their powers willy nilly], he started to pretty much stalk the both of them, but mostly volt. Gizmo knows nearly everything about volt, all the important stuff anyway. Gizmo chose volt specifically BECAUSE volt can control electricity, and gizmo works with a bunch of devices, and if they get overcharged then theyre useless. Since gizmo was only the head engineer of the superstars, it would be odd of him to just go out and deal with volt himself [and also risk his position], so he kinda uses echo as a front to deal with them. something abt echo, she HATES char and volt, so when it was brought up by gizmo, she was immediately on board. all attempts so far to get rid of char and volt have somehow been unsuccessful tho
volt can actually conjure up thunderstorms! they can create clouds by controlling moisture in the air, and also control water to an extent. the lightning was just more prominent which is why they didnt know themselves
having superpowers is actually somewhat rare, which is WHY the government is controlling abt people using them
gizmo built a supercomputer and wants to put his brain in it. ironically the supercomputer is nicknamed 'A.L.M.O.N.D'. before he put his own brain into a computer, he actually tested it on ppl to see if itll work, and now he just Has people on a usb because he couldn't figure out how to get them out. Gizmo did go along with putting himself in the supercomputer in a rush to try stop volt and char himself. he didnt care if he was able to get out or not
ppl only have horns n tails is bcz sometimes they actually help balance out powers. though also some powerless people can actually get them aswell if they were related to someone that had powers [lowk just an excuse for me to not redesign char and volt im gonna be real]
