Coding Mayhem

Hey guys sorry I have been gone for a ton of time. I am hopefully bringing the blog back alive (photo reference) so hear it is! Rishi has added a ton of amazing ideas to the idea box and I plan to get up to speed as a I have not communicated with him in a while. Sorry for the wait! I have been sitting on the idea of a level system as a general system. e.g. level one, level two. Should we add this? On one hand we have a ton of level systems, on the other hand this could be a way to win the game. e.g. get to level 25 or something like that. So I leave you to answer this. Yes or no? Yay or Nay?

We are working on an update that adds a super market! This basically means that you have hunger which deteriorates through poking. When your hunger is full, you get a multiplier. When your hunger is in the middle nothing happens. When you're hungry, the points get divided. I was thinking about discussing with Rishi (Founder/main developer) a level system for the super market. e.g. regular. Gotta go peeps! Cya!

We have recently transferred from points to pokelets, so from now on it's pokelets. Sorry if I refer to them as points occasionally as I have bad memory. Thank You, this P.A. is over. :D

Poke sparring works like so. You and an A.I. have x amount of health. The computer ask you if you would like to do a head, leg, or stomach attack. You choose the appropriate command and attack. The computer then chooses a random block. If your attack succeeds then you have a random chance to do a super poke attack which takes away 3 hp instead of 1. You can also get poking sprees where you constantly poke the A.I. without deflection for a extra damage dealer. After you attack you choose a random leg, head, or stomach block, and the computer again chooses a random attack, gets a potential poking spree/super poke. You basically repeat that cycle till one of you faints.

The dojo is a big work in progress. There are ranks in the dojo. You level up by registering for class, going to the class and poke sparring. Each time you tried to level up, the A.I. you had to beat to level up got more health. Currently it is being worked on for something called tournaments which is the same idea but the prize is going to be in points.

I have saved the best for last! You can purchase different characters in the shop or as I have earlier referenced them, pokees. Each one gives you a small multiplier. Super. Gotta buy em' all! (from our sister, POKEmon)

Like the bank class, the shop also has memberships that give you discounts on shop purchases. These are very expensive and I bet that you will buy them after you purchase all the upgrades but what the he**! (Was that a ck and or ll? The world will never know) It is an amazing concept and fully support it. 

You can purchase several point multipliers in the shop. Obviously these multiply your points per poke. Good buy. Also in this episode, flaming poke. This makes it so that if you poke the pokee's head then it sets there hair on fire and gives you an amount of points for the next 10  or so turns.

Hot sauce is an insurance item. Basically you buy hotsauce and if the pokee bites you then it doesn't count. Yay! Woohoo! The only catch is is cost a ton. Good luck!

This is about the shop class. I am going to be doing some sub sets into the shop class as it is quite complicated. I promised yesterday I would talk about the percentages so here it is. There is something that you can buy called sharpened nails which for one increases chances at better stuff and decreases chances at bad stuff like the stomach. I also want to explain hairy finger, snot coated finger and some other level above that. By buying those upgrades, it decreases your chances of the pokee biting you. Tomorrow my friends. *takes cap off and puts it back on*

I am going to talk about the bank class in Poke. The bank has several unique features of the bank class. If you do not know Java as well as I do, a project will normally consist of different classes, or files basically. If you are a complete novice, and if thats the case I have no idea why you are following this blog. Back to the point. The bank class has some key features such as different memberships. The higher rank of membership you have, the less the withdrawal fee is. That is made by using switch statements and return statements. I will post a picture tomorrow. Kind of busy today.
