Redrawing pics from high school (this one is circa 2005) and redrawing them with my updated and new characters.

Old one is Kiki, Kenji and Kou

New one is Mossy, Arakibe and Zirayn.

My YA fantasy book "The Book of Mossy: Secrets" is finally available for beta readers. What does this mean?

That means YOU get to read a copy of my book BUT there's a caveat. You have until the end of March to finish it and complete the form at the very end. You will only have access to commenting on the document as I have already chosen my people to have editing permissions. This is a volunteer thing and I do need dedicated readers. The story is young adults, aimed for readers 13-17 but I want an adult audience as well that love YA. I am NOT writing GoT, LotR, Wheel of Time, ect. There are rules on the document before you get to the story.

Alright, what is this book about? Here's my blurb.

Young Mossy Sorelu has never truly belonged.

Living as a half-breed bipedal feline among dragons and their masters, the Daso Verta, Mossy lives quietly in their shadows. She scrubs their halls, assists in their trainings, and runs errands for her Master, careful not to draw too much attention to what makes her different.

But when Mossy accidentally stumbles upon a forbidden gathering, her fragile place in the world begins to crack.

Hidden beneath an unassuming weaver’s shop, a gathering of Daso Vertas are meeting in secret led by a blood-drinker known as a Dralil whose very existence is treason. Among the attendees are faces Mossy trusts including her closest friend, Fox, a half-fire dragon with secrets of his own.

If Mossy reports what she’s seen, she could become a hero but at the cost of her friends’ lives.

If she stays silent, she risks being drawn into something far darker than she realizes.

As whispers of trouble in the city stir and loyalties fracture, Mossy must decide who she is and who she is willing to become.

In a world where brute strength leads and heritage determines worth, Mossy’s greatest battle may be with the ones she loves most.

A coming-of-age fantasy about identity, belonging, and the dangerous allure of being told you matter.

The first book features Mossy and Fox! Arakibe has a cameo in the second and Zirayn is in the third! Kitna comes in MUCH later.

Where my first book takes place. More specifically, the story takes place in Riverhold.

Not to scale, obviously. Its like a 10 minute flight from Riverhold to Dasonian Lake, and like a 4-5 hour flight from Riverhold to the ocean beyond the Stretch.

Sorry everyone for the 3 month hiatus. It's been a wild time lately.

Fire dragons are known for their strength and anger. They're the choice for war dragons and guards. They have a fire spine that does not burn unless the dragon is angered. Then, the cold fire turns into an inferno. Some inexperienced riders have burned alive. They wear fire caps to mask the light during the nighttime and to prevent the fire from burning.

Fire dragons are fierce friends, fiercely loyal and will go to the ends of the earth for their friends and family.

Aside from messenger wyverns, fire dragons are the fastest dragons. Known for speed and endurance, they can fly for hours, sometimes from sun up to sun down. (With a lot of practice and training, of course.)
