How extremely flattered I am and will continue to be due to this generous gesture from my dear friend Jarus. I’m at such a loss for words because of this mural. Notice the Cerium hoody and Mantis 2 pack!! We’re definitely ready to do more!!!

Honoured to have been a part of the celebration of the Toronto Eaton Centre grand opening. Thanks to Tim for making another opportunity for me to display my art. This time on a beer can label for Rally beer.Coincidentally the non-alc brew that I was working on is called Dry Run!

I started out with a few preliminary drawings but realized fast that I need to draw at a bigger scale in order to be comfortable w detail and proportions. Tim had the idea of bringing in the art directors to help steer the project which made the process much simpler.

We were on the verge of executing on the first Jarus x Arc’teryx system A mural project when it got cancelled due to timing.

The plan was for me to make reference photos for Jarus to choose from in order to recreate in one of a few downtown locations.

Nate had helped by choosing garments that had the similar silhouette of the new releases. The differences would have been conveyed to Jarus who would have made the necessary changes.

I’m sure we will come back to that concept at some point.

This was a recent Beta shoot with the help of both Lisa and Nate

Still so happy to have had the opportunity to show my work in store. For the content, I took to scouring the internet for diverse faces wearing the product to use as reference. Mixed in are some of my own photographs of my daughters as well as images of Frank Ocean and Virgil who passed away shortly after if memory serves.

Within the Arc’teryx artshow I had enough time to create this with the support of Nathan who convinced me that this would make a great standout piece.

He was right, it was the centrepiece and tied all the other art elements together.

The project made it to High Snobiety!!

I invited my good friend B-Boy Jedi to the studio to model some of garments with the thought of using the images as reference to some future artwork.

I ended up rendering Jedi for the artwork on the totebag that as given away during my gallery artshow for both the Yorkdale and Queen St. locations.

I photographed this alongside Nathan in Grange park. I brought the table cloth and camera, Nate brought the goodies. We set up the elements to be photographed and finished with a delicious lunch. Somehow we both missed the upside down logo on the pack.

For this shoot I set up my camera on a tripod and set the count down timer for 12 seconds while I ran in front to the marked location then thought of thought of a Dave Chappelle skit, smiled and waited for the click. Took me about 20 tries to get it right.

As for the folded photograph, the first Atom LT blew away into the river never to be seen again. That’s when I found out what LT stood for.

Nathan and I explored what we called the “lay-flat” style studio shots where a wardrobe could be neatly assembled.

The lavender fold worked out perfectly for a mothers day giveaway.

Nathan and I explored studio photography keeping the current aesthetic of other major brands while bringing focus to shoes needing attention.

So fortunate to have reconnected with Jarus a good friend in the graffiti/mural art scene. He opened up his studio and allowed me to document his process.
