okay so imagine this. 3rd year of highschool. Giovanni as a typical rich boy with a promising future and Nanu as a tranfers student who turns out to be a delinquent. Strangely they hit it off and become besties and Nanu teaches Giovanni all his nasty habits (they also talk about cat pokemon a lot) which kinda, some years later, pushes Giovanni towards the TR path while Nanu decides to drop breaking law altogether. That’s why they also drift apart eventually bc they don’t agree on things anymore. And later when they are no longer speaking, Nanu joins the police force and Giovanni starts his TR stuff.

accidentally skipped sm anime but the moment i saw gou i knew i won’t be skipping whatever starts in november...  also please pleeeaseee let they have mentor-student relationship except ash is kind of a sucky mentor and gets lost a lot so gou will have to use his pokedex-phone to locate his missing mentor and he’s not happy about it...... (yes i ship it)
