Alright, here goes nothing
Finally decided to commit to writing the fanfic ideas haunting me, and figured a blog would be a nice place for me to keep my readers updated and to post other topics/ideas that capture my attention. This also seemed like a decent platform to engage with the people interested in my work, and answer questions and such, or just bounce ideas around.
The fic I'm working on is a crossover between Tangled the Series and My Little Pony, with Cassandra as the main character. You can find it on FIM fiction. Currently, this version you see online is my first attempt on this crossover. I'm nearly done with a rewrite, which I'll explain in another post.
As much as I love Cassandra's season 3 villain arc, I wanted to dive deeper into her motivations and emotions. Her redemption in the last episode felt a little cheap, I want Cassandra to struggle with her fall from grace and work her way up again. It's more than just character growth, but earning character growth after experiencing character regression.
Currently rewatching MLP G4. Last time I saw it, I was little, so to better write my fic, I figured I should reacquaint myself with the material. Oh boy, MLP was better than I remembered, and I have so many opinions about it. Get ready to hear my speculations, theories, and head cannons about every little implication, big or small, about this franchise of pastel color ponies.
I've forgotten so much of MLP over the years, it's like I'm watching it for the first time again, and I've been enjoying that feeling, so until I finish my rewatch, I'm not really diving into spoilers at the moment. NGL, was never really into the fandom side of MLP before, so play it cool if I visit an idea that's already been talked to death. (I'm at the start of season 5 rn, if you're wondering)
The character parallels between TTS and MLP are insane. They go far beyond the obvious ones, like Cassandra and Princess Luna, or Rapunzel and Celestia.
I've had some big thoughts about Tirek, and I really want somewhere to try to talk to others about him and the other MLP villains. In my efforts to try to dissect their characters and write them accurately in my fic, I've thought a lot about their possible origins and motives.

Here's a fun fact, my username, Ziguanaba, is inspired by the Latin American folklore of a beautiful woman with the face of a horse that lures men away and attempts to kill them either putting them in danger or pushing them off a perilous ledge.
BTW, on FIM fiction, I used to go by the name Acceptable_trash. I've changed my name to Ziguanaba. I've grown a bit over the years, and the old name doesn't fit anymore.
