In case anyone hasn't heard, the cyclospora outbreak affecting tons of people in the US right now is coming from Taylor Farms produce. Best to stay away from bagged lettuce and prepared salads completely right now, but especially the ones mentioned in the screenshot:

This is not the first time I've heard about a Taylor Farms foodborne illness outbreak. I stopped eating their salads after reading a description of the conditions in their facilities. Doesn't sound like they've improved anything.

they are completely incapable of forming their own opinions without being fed by the government.

watching these people cheer on a man's execution for smuggling in weed, while crimes that are objectively worse (like fucking murder) receive much more lenient punishments, really makes you wonder how this isnt talked about more.

i understand the rationale behind criminalizing weed (though i may not agree with it), but the death penalty is totally absurd, yet the people of this country cheer it on.

a man was executed just months ago, in april i believe, for importing 1.009kg of cannabis into singapore, and r/singapore was flooded with comments celebrating his execution and support for the death penalty.

i say this as someone who travels to singapore every year, and thinks that singapore is a beautiful place with incredible public transit, great public sanitation, incredible fucking food, and awesome vibes: singapore is an authoritative military state. there's a lot of good, but holy fuck is there a lot of bad. a lot of people throw around 1984 comparisons as jokes or sarcasm, but when it comes to SGP its pretty real.
