Calling all three Mal Du Pays fans, I made a Mal Du Pays sona!!! This is Irrealis

The name comes from the grammatical mood used to express unreality (also called irrealis), I wanted a name with a similar vibe to Mal Du Pays' name

Just finished up classes for this semester, so naturally, that means more time to draw me getting kissed by fictional characters

Excited to announce I am opening commissions! Prices detailed on sheet, a fully "maxxed out" character is about 50 USD with a special 20 USD PFP deal.

Potential questions:

Q: "What is The Works?"

A: Forces me to do a final clean up on line-art and coloring. This can be very time-consuming so I charge extra for this, but not much. This is mainly if you like your art to be as clean/perfect as possible.

Something like this. It's not a huge difference here, but it'll be more noticeable the bigger the piece.

Q: "What is a simple background?"

A: Solid colors with basic geometric shapes, some gradients. A complicated background will be situated in an actual geographic setting of sorts, or have a much more detail. The Teto (bottom left) example is a simple background, and the Vee (bottom right) example is a complicated background.

Q: "Why is the max price listed at 999?

A: I don't technically have an upper limits on the amount of characters I will draw, so the price has an ambiguous upper limit. Generally, your commissions will be much more likely to be accepted with 4 characters, in which case you can expect a "maximized" out commission to be about 155 USD (this is a four person piece with full bodies, a complicated background, and The Works. This would take quite a long time to make - I would say over ten hours). Do keep in mind that I have the right to decline your request if I deem it unrealistic to make. I make about 15 USD an hour with my irl job, so if I foresee a commission taking me unreasonably long to where I am effectively working for less than minimum wage, that is grounds for me to decline a commission. We can discuss further discounts for multi-characters if applicable.

Q: "What is ETA?"

A: I am going to say 1-2 weeks, depending on commission traffic and real life.

Q: "What will my money go towards?"

Copious amounts of Fangamer merch (and perhaps an offhand Noelle Deltarune plush)

My crippling Gumi Megpoid addiction (and perhaps some other Vocaloid merch)

God, I love Gumi. Seeing her and engaging with her music and everything else just makes me so, so happy. I see a person that makes me feel safe and appreciated in her, while also just being generally attracted to her of course. Gumi so awesome...

My take on a Dessign! I originally drew this up in July, I've used it in a few Dess drawings since then.

Zecember Day 25/25 (Finale): ANGEL AT SHADOW'S EDGE

"AT 'SHADOW'S EDGE'. . . SHATTER THE TWILIGHT REVERIE."

There's three contenders for my favorite songs of all time,

First there's Sever the Skyline from Celeste,

Then there's Racing into the Night by YOASOBI,

And of course, Penumbra Phantasm by Toby Fox. Penumbra Phantasm is an old demo by Toby Fox, before Undertale, before even the fever dream that would lead to the development of Deltarune. Yet, the song echoes a thematic resonance still strongly present within Deltarune. A darkness at the edge of the world... a reverie to banish. The fandom quickly grew an affinity for the song and began to speculate that it would be the Megalovania of Deltarune, being the final boss theme of someone. I grow quite attached to this song when I found out about it earlier this year. To me, the song is kind of like the Legend of the Deltarune in a tangible form. The legend foretold by time and space, a hymm that began with a simple piano melody... Where our reality ends and fiction in dark worlds begin... That's ultimately what I see in Penumbra Phantasm, a profound song that transcends time and reality.

Yet, Toby Fox has gone on record saying that no Homestuck songs will feature in Deltarune. Some clinged to the copium, as April 2012 and sans are technically Homestuck songs (but not really). However, we got the final nail in the coffin with the 10 year anniversary stream. The original composer of the Doctor motif (which Penumbra features heavily), George Buzinkai, has sadly passed away. Toby ultimately doesn't want to use the motif henceforth since it's hard to claim right to a deceased person's song naturally. Ultimately, Penumbra isn't happening.

But, isn't it interesting? The song was already just an interpretation of something else. Songs can be redone. They can be changed... That's what I believe. And certainly, that's what I think Toby believes as well. While Penumbra in its prototypical form will not be in Deltarune, it's evoked around the game in various places. I fully believe Neverending Night and its surrounding songs is the spiritual successor to Penumbra Phantasm, and I welcome what the motif may bring with open arms. Penumbra may be dead, but that idea, that overwhelming midnight, is still at the core of Deltarune's thesis.

This piece is dedicated to Penumbra Phantasm and the countless fanworks made in its honor. As the Penumbrasanity comes to a close, I wanted to honor the song's legacy one last time. My all-time favorite renditions of Penumbra Phantasm are done by the Deltarune fan composer surreal, who made three versions of Penumbra across the years. When I saw V3, which released last month, and saw the Dess Angel design they used. That's when I knew. This is how I had to end Zecember. I'm not a Dess Angel truther myself (I'm a Soul/Player Angel truther), but god I adore this angel design, so I just had to draw it for Zecember's big finale!

And with that, Zecember is complete! While the schedule got quite chaotic during my college finals, I'm still glad I was able to get it all done, albeit with some quirky timing.

That being said, I still have a ton of other ideas I could draw up, so if I'm feeling up for it the next few days, there may be some bonus ones! I will also be doing a new years piece with a bunch of cool characters from this year (consider this the Zecember postgame secret boss). Noelle and Dess will be there...

Zecember Day 24/25: Fantasy Dessriel

What if we were both teens and we haunted the narrative? Jk!.. unless....

Seeing as there was a Suselle piece, made sense to let Dess have a ship piece too. Dessriel is by far the most popular. I styled this one like that one painting, was also a good excuse to draw Hyperdeath Asriel
