For having an incredible grade in every class—you're still lectured often about 'standards' and 'reputation'. It's the same song and dance as always, except this time, you had your very own parasite. Way to make a tedious thing, painful.

Your grandfather goes on and on about the history of the family—how great it is. Next to you, Bill was uncharacteristically silent. Well, either way, it's not like he's visible to other people. You just have to nod your head ever so often and, oh, yeah, there it is. Another jab at how you were making the Northwests look good. You sense movement next to you. From your peripherals—Bill floats over to the side. Guess he finally had enough.

You turned you gaze back. Wouldn't want the 'talk' to last longer for not paying attention. Something catches the corner of your eye. It's ignored. The soft taps and chittering, sounds only audible to you, slowly grow louder. You risk another glance—

Holy Sh–!

Bill had somehow managed to use what limited access he has to the physical plane to draw a rune with dirt. A fire rune. It was almost fully drawn.

"Wow this thing's deluxe! Two eyes AND a functioning brain! A bit cluttered in here with all the nerdy stuff but HEY I can disassemble the world with this!"

Bill turns his back to the mirror, takes one step and—promptly falls on his face. He looks down, brows knitted, irritated. A book. He was thwarted by a book. Bill gets up. He picks up the book—another theory book. Typical. Yeesh, you were such a nerd. This won't do. He was already stuck with you, Bill can't have you embarassing him too!
