A big thing about their relationship is the fact that Cyra is the only source of comfort and affection Wu has outside of his family. His very flawed, very troubled family.

She gives him the attention and love that he craves. Makes him feel protected. He loves it.

Obviously the dynamic between them goes against the established gender roles of ancient Ninjago, which were very rigid. (If Ninjago sexism was bad in the main show, it must’ve been so much worse back then). And this did make Wu feel self conscious for a little while. Because both as a male and as a son of the FSM, he should be the one doing the protecting.

But Cyra assures him that the opinion of those around don’t matter as long as he’s happy. That precisely because he’s a son of the FSM, he should be able to live the way he wants to, and not adhere to the foolish rules of the narrow minded people beneath him.

She agreed to date Wu because getting even closer to him would mean even more access to ancient knowledge and power. And even when she did start loving him for real, she still did things behind his back (albeit with a bit more hesitancy).

On the other hand, she does genuinely want what’s best for Wu, in a messed up way. She hates how he tries so hard to be just like his father. To preserve the legacy of a man who couldn’t even be bothered to tell his children where his final resting place was. She also hates how he just takes all of Garmadon’s abuse without complaint. Every ounce of his rage he absorbs like a sponge.

She hates how he lives to the whims of others, particularly his family. Suppressing his own pain and desires for the sake of a "greater good".

She wants to change that. Get him to live for himself for once.

Her solution? Kidnap him and keep him in her super cool Not-Kingdom where they can do whatever they want free from crippling responsibility. 😀

She’s a goofy goober with only a few multi-realm felonies up her belt. 😇

What better time for her to return than when her darkest sun needs her most? After all, no one knows him like she does. No one else understands the pain he endured as the younger son of the First Spinjitzu Master.

(Mainly because he never allowed himself to confide in anyone but her. And after her betrayal, he sure as hell didn’t open up to anyone else).

Obviously her reappearance reopens a bunch of wounds.

Now, truth be told, I’ve always loved the idea of Wu having a love interest. His interactions with Misako are honestly cute.

I just wish it wasn’t with Lloyd’s mother of all people you know? The way it was handled certainly didn’t do either of them any favors with the fandom.

Morgana isn’t very happy with her brother rn

"Since you’re going to be my apprentice, it’s only natural for you to meet my other student. With that said, allow me to introduce you to Arthur Pendragon".

When she was a child, Morgana discovered the affair between her father King Uther, and the noble Igraine. Naturally, she was heartbroken and enraged by her father’s betrayal of her mother. However, upon learning that a child was conceived from the affair, her interest peaked. She demanded to see the child, and Uther, already on thin ice with her, complied.

Amethyst eyes matching her own met hers, and the moment she heard his giggle, she had fallen in love with the child in her arms. Her baby brother. However, her joy was short lived as Uther sent him away soon after. To keep the affair under raps. Distraught and angry, she cursed out her father. Feeling robbed of the chance to know her little brother, to be a big sister.

Years passed and Morgana focused on her duties as princess while delving even deeper into her studies on magic. She came to realize that she needed a teacher, however, her magic was so unique and unpredictable that none of the wizards of Camelot could help her reach her true potential. She learned of Merlin, the greatest wizard of all time. Surely, she would be able to help her reach her true potential. And all the things she could learn from her!

There was a problem though. Merlin was one of the Seven Deadly Sins, the Boar Sin of Gluttony. And the Sins were now wanted criminals, traitors of the kingdom of Liones. Despite the stories, Morgana was skeptical. After all, the way the grandmaster was slaughtered didn’t fit the styles of any of the Sins.

Her decision made, she started to search for the Boar Sin at 15. Surprisingly, she crossed paths with Merlin early into her search. Which was because, as she would later learn, Merlin was searching for her too. For the girl that could wield both light and dark magic, and anything in between, with little difficulty.

Merlin agreed to take her under her wing, but she also wanted to introduce her to her other student. Morgana noticed that smirk of hers seemed to grow as she mentioned it, though she had no idea why.

Until she laid eyes on the student in question.

A young boy, with unruly ginger hair, and a pair of amethyst eyes, just like hers. He peered up at her curiously.

Shock coursed through her, hands flying up to her mouth. Despite it being 7 years, she recognized him instantly.

For the second time, she was introduced to her baby brother.

His name was Arthur.
