i feel the same way about the tweek x craig episode like i know that it was a big gay joke or whatever but there WAS interesting things said in it about masculinity in my opinion. it was stupid as fuck but i do find their approach to what they think a young gay couple would act like in the first place is... charming? thats what i got out of it.

i know it really didnt mean anything in the long run but the way that they characterized some of the main kids in southpark will never leave my mind. the accidental slips through the cracks where they actually said something interesting. their weird transgender rights episode ending with stan still unsure of what his gender is and uncomfortably accepting that he doesn't know what it is. i'm never not thinking about it. why would they include that with how violently transphobic they are? did they even know what they were implying? all of stans implied dysphoria and fear around gender and uncertainty even to the end constantly weighs on me, paired with the fact that stan also never "got" better in regards to his "Aspergers"/depression and kept drinking. how did they make him this much of an egg. how is that possible. is trey parker ok? this feels like some bizarro hussie shit.
