i recently got together with some of my friends and they brought their little cousins along to hang out with us. she was pretty much babysitting her cousins so we figured why not bring them with us. mind you her cousins are ten and eleven. i haven't hung out with children before so this was very new to me, but i had such a fun time hanging out with them. we went to target and bought them this cardboard ice cream truck, which i was very amused by because why the fuck didn't i have this growing up? anyways, once we put the cardboard ice cream truck together, one of my friend's cousins gave me a fake wallet with fake credit cards and i told her i wanted to buy her ice cream truck.. she told me i was broke and all my cards declined.. i tell you kids and their imaginations always find a way to pull at my heartstrings. @limelightblvdstarters
that whole story is honestly one of the most adorable things i've heard in a long time. i still find it surprising because kids today have every kind of toy, game and entertainment imaginable, whereas we were perfectly happy with something as simple as a power ranger action figure, it's amazing how quickly things change. but you're absolutely right, kids have an imagination that's completely out of this world. the fact that she decided you were "broke" and that all your cards had been declined is one of the funniest conclusions she could have come to. i have a 5 year old daughter and she's constantly saying things that catch me completely off guard. every day there's something new that makes me laugh and honestly, i don't think there's a better feeling in the world than that.
