He scored immediate success, rapidly acquiring the kind of prestigious editorial commissions normally given to photographers, from Lei, Per Lui in Italy, Vogue in the USA, The Face in Britain, and Le Monde and Le Figaro in France. This beautiful hardcover book brings together an extensive collection of his work, featuring striking images of smoldering and smoky-eyed men and women who vibrate with New Wave energy. Viramontes worked with some of the most celebrated names in fashion including Yves Saint Laurent, Valentino, Chanel, Claude Montana, and Christian Dior.

I've always found so fascinating how for all the show and flashiness they put on, Casper and Callista actually grew up in the lower quarters of Mestras. They are the captains of the Bards, the banner who represents beauty, aesthetic, glory. Yet they come from the dust and sweat of their father's forge. I wouldn't be surprised if they also used to work in it before Kal Asterock.

Disney Kids & Family Renews "Dragon Striker" For A Second Season After Sucessful Early Summer Debut.

The Knights are heading for more tournaments...

Disney Kids & Family has renewed its anime-inspired series "Dragon Striker" for a second season after a sucessful launch last June. The news was shared Thursday at Anime Expo in Los Angeles during the sports fantasy series’ panel.

This marks the first time a Disney Television Animation series for a TV-Y7 audience gets renewed for a second season since "Kiff" in 2023 as the other shows that followed it ("Hailey's On It!", "Primos", "StuGo") only lasted one season.

In season two, “the Knights face broken friendships, buried secrets and ancient evil as they fight to reach the Banner’s Helm final and risk everything for victory.”

The second season will debut in early 2027 across Disney+, Hulu and Disney XD

Even in the house it was LOUD.  Probably the loudest thing I have ever experienced but at a normal, predictable interval.  You would begin to time your sentences with little pauses with the rest of the lighthouse crew so you would talk like this while making your………..HORN…………. tea and then carry on talking because you knew when it would go off.  It rattled the walls and the dishes in our cabinet.

At least one girl had died there. They kept photos of her everywhere “in honor of her sacrifice” because she had decided to take the winter watch alone and died in a storm where bounders the size of mini vans had been lifted out of the ocean and left scattered across the island, to say nothing of the ice chunks.  People weren’t allowed to be alone on the watch after that.

One day a dead moose washed up on shore and it took my entire crew all day but we managed to rig up a line to hang it up to dry because we thought having a moose skeleton in the house would really spice the living room up a bit.  It did.  Weird shit happens when six of you are left alone, like ALONE ALONE, no cell reception, no wifi, just a radio to contact the real world and not a lot of reason to do that.  People don’t go on lighthouse jobs if they want to stay connected, I’ve found.
