zanka is speechless, registering your words. his expression softens, the usual tense posture he carries melting away. he's quiet, taking his time to string together what he wants to say.

"... it ain't an odd thing to wonder," he starts. "if ya wanna know, y're..." zanka trails off. "... y're like a treasure to me."

"yeah?" the belief in that makes him a little giddy, before a more important thought crossed his mind. "see it that way if ya want. but when I finally beat that freak, I need'ta do it with lovely. it ain't satisfyin' otherwise. it's only fair that her and mankira get to fight, too."

zanka tilts his head, considering how to reply. "she's doin' good. beautiful, as always."

"cereal, huh...?" he stares at you, a hint of a grimace in his face at the joke. deciding to at least preserve some of your dignity, he refocuses the attention to your craft instead. "... why would ya want a diy version of me?"

"yeah? thanks," he takes the compliment, used to those about his appearance.

he pauses, recalling their first moments together. "... well, she sure had her way of welcoming someone. that dead stare she got on sometimes when assessing whether or not a new recruit is a threat is... well..." he sighs, trailing off.

"after that, though, it was easy to warm up to her. reminds of a cat, an' all—how energetic she could be," zanka looks fond recollecting all their moments together. "guess she kinda is a sister ta me, huh?"
