It looks like this might actually be happening. 

Elf on shelf. 

Elf on shelf tries to hatch egg. 

Some random NPCs found around the harbor in Zandalar who have come to sell their wares or whatnot.

Ogres, Random Vrykul, Walrus, Cat-Taurs, and Hozen, including Hozen with wings. 

The Tavern/Inn area of the Horde Embassy (first three screenshots), then three other Taverns or Tavern/Inns I’ve come across so far doing one of the zones. I think there’s more I just haven’t paid too much attention. 

There are weird visual bugs  in #5, 6, 7, such as the plant coming through the ground, or furniture disappearing depending on your camera angle. You can notice that with the table in #5 and the stuff around it in #6.

These are places to RP in BfA. 

There I was. And then suddenly dinosaur. 

My cursor indicated I could hop on the dinosaur like a passenger mount so I did what anyone would do and hopped on the giant lizard. 

One of my favorite parts of early alpha testing is to find things that are broken or overlooked. Stuff like where if you move your camera to just the right angle your camera goes through the wall and you can see the world below but not yourself, or spots where you can accidentally run through an invisible wall and get stuck, or holes where you fall through the world. Also spots like transitions between subzones or by certain objects that make your game window turn black for a split second.

There's funny bugs too. Mobs stuck in walls, buggy NPC pathing, buggy NPC animations that leave their weapons floating in air and stabbing them, or hopping on a giant dino vehicle and you character rotating so they are sitting horizontal instead of vertical.

I also like to climb things and be an actual elf on a shelf.

As someone who roleplays I am looking at the world through different eyes. For example, "Is this space something roleplayers might use? Yes? Can the user interact with the seating? No. Send feedback asking that if chairs in a potential RP area aren't being used by NPCs they should be sittable by users. Yes. I'm that jackass, but y'know, chairs.

And yes, I will be sitting in every interactable chair to assure that your avatar faces the right way and your camera doesn't do anything stupid.

So I got into the BfA Alpha.Someone in the Wyrmrest Discord wanted to know about the upright orc animations so I made an orc to go test them out. I load in after a long wait for things to download and immediately I started looking at the scenery. Look at that nice ceiling. 

Then I go in search of a target dummy and the thing crashes. 

Most definitely in alpha. 

This appears to be the holy dreadlord thing (he has a black dragon name ending...-ion). His name is Leothraxion, he’s a prot paladin. We get him as a follower along with Arator, Liadrin, and Maximillion of Northshire. 

After you finish the quest line to get the artifact, the NPCs disperse and go back to doing whatever.

Here are some paladins doing paladin things. As a bonus, I jumped into one of the light things. I figured there’d be an invisible wall, but there isn’t.

I’ll post screenshots of various Blood Knight characters I found hanging around. But let me say this. Red and black armor with the Silver Hand tabard? Looks awful. Why would you do this, Bliz?

Also. It doesn’t appear that you can, at this time, transmog over the libram. In fact, the weapon is a two-handed weapon. Meaning, holy paladins, all those years you’ve collected shields and one handed weapons? They’re all useless. 

Also, you can’t just spec into ret and use the holy 2h artifact. It requires holy spec to be equipped. So if you’re holy, you’re going to be leveling holy. 

... at least consecrate is back.

So when I chose Zan’s last name, I picked one of the few sampled from NPCs that wasn’t not two english words. I chose Pyreanor. Then I went to the pally trainer in Org. Oops. So I have written it off that Zan’s like, the awkward nephew of this minor NPC. This minor NPC paladin trainer is in the new pally class hall.
