Bruce and Clark enter an elevator, messy hair and untucked shirts desperate to get to bruce's hotel room on the top floor. The tension is thick. They eagerly hold their breaths as the elevator door is just about to-
A hand reaches in, and two young ladies walked into the elevator with them, stare at the keypad, and continues with their conversation.
Same floor then. That's fine. They can wait.
"It just wouldn't make sense. They're so different." One girl said.
"Exactly. I mean superman is waaayyy to upbeat and smiley to date a gothamite, let alone batman" the other replied
Bruce looked at clark. Clark looked at bruce. Oh this was gonna be a long ride
"I just don't get why people won't let them just be coworkers. I mean the bat can barely tolerate supes, he's way too busy brooding to have his tongue down anyone's throat"
Clark fought a chuckle at that settling for letting out a snort and throwing bruce a teasing glance. Bruce rolled his eyes. He did not brood
"Yeah besides, everyone knows Superman is dating Lois lane.... either that or the secret harem"
Bruce sputtered, struggled to stiffle his laughter at both the girls comment and the deep red flush across Clark's face. When did that even become a rumor?
"oh yeah I heard about that. Who do you think is in it? I heard luthor got rejected so the qualifications have to be insane"
"People are saying Bruce Wayne. There's a video going around. That's why he sponsors the justice league"

Bruce didn't know whether or not he should be offended that these two girls don't recognize him standing behind them as they keep talking about his sex life but he'd be lying if he said he wasn't atleast entertained
After what feels like an eternity, the elevator dings. The girls walked out, their conversation undeterred as they head to their room
"OH my gosh do you think superman intentionally seduced him for the cash?"
"Must be. why else would he be wearing those little red shorts"
More giggling burst through the halls
They stood for a second by the elevator as the noise faded into silence.
"Can we pretend that whole thing didn't happen" clark murmured, still burning beet red.
"Well that depends on whether you can 'sling that supercock like you mean it'" he mimicked, trying deeply not to laugh
In lieu of responding, clark just picked him up and headed straight for their room as bruce let out a deep laugh that chorused through the hallway
