Final Destination visionaries in art styles inspired by cartoons from their time periods (plus notes below the cut)

I thought this would be a fun idea until I realized three of the movies take place in 2000-2001 but luckily the cartoons coming out at the time were diverse enough for me to draw from. Also I locked tf in and drew all of these (minus Stefani) last night. Anyway I'm gonna explain some of my thoughts and inspirations for each of the characters :))) Iris- I love this drawing so much, she's so cute!! I looked at The Archie Show, The Adventures of Batman and Robin, and The Scooby Doo Show. I also love the colors in this, I did the CMY palette thing where I layered the colors and changed the opacities of the layers... it was very fun :) Alex- I looked at Invader Zim (obviously) and a show called Jacob Two Two which I had never heard of before. I liked how the hair was drawn though so I wanted to emulate that. Kimberly- I referenced Sabrina's Secret Life and Braceface for most of the drawing and looked at Teen Titans for the shading. I forgot the show only shaded the skin for the most part, that's interesting. I should draw Kimberly again. Wendy- Ruby Gloom, Scooby Doo Get a Clue, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends were the inspirations for this one. It was honestly kinda easy for me to do this one because it's really similar to how I drew everything a couple years ago. Nick- Also really easy for me, it was also really similar to my art style a couple years ago. I looked at Regular Show, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and Chowder for this one. I went off a couple years for this one but whoooo cares like oh my god whoooo caressssssss. I imagine the watercolor texture on his hair and pants stay still like the shirts in Chowder. Sam- I like this drawing but I think I kinda failed the challenge. I looked at Aqua Teen Hunger Force and As Told by Ginger. I think it'd be more recognizable if I emulated Clone High or Total Drama because it's more unified but for some reason I wasn't performing at my mental peak at 4 in the morning.... Stefani- I looked at Invincible, Xmen 97, and Vox Machina for this one. I don't have a lot of feelings on this as a drawing I just didn't wanna reference the Family Guy art style. Never get your dick pierced.

I'm thinking about what Pitfall characters would be like in an Outlast trial. So the way that outlasts trials function is you have your prime asset which is the main antagonist of each trial you have your ex pops which are two or more enemies that assist on the trial usually other people that have been experimented on to the point of no return mentally. Then you have your reagents which is the players and I was thinking well how would that even go actually cuz obviously you can make the hunter the prime asset but then how do you make the ex pops. Then I had the idea in my head for an au where they're all in outlast you could take Gwen and Charlie already being dead being reanimated because in the Outlast series they've canonically reanimated corpses before just for their cultish experiments and they can be the ex pops. Kind of inspired by the jeager in outlast trials, as she is one of the reanimated corpse characters and does have a lot of plot significance to the murkoff facilities. Of course that leaves Ashley Scott and Lars to be the reagents in which I think they would be part of it based off of how the Outlast trials murkoff facility program works where you're kind of dragging under this false belief that they're going to help you and take care of you and you get paid for it but that's not actually what happens they are part of a whole sleeper agent program in outlast. I heavily adore Outlast lore so much if you can't tell. But I think they would be the ones that would still be playable characters if they were in and out last trial because they are the only ones that didn't die. I'm also fascinated by how helpless Outlast makes you feel in the games and that's something that has carried through the entire series is making you feel helpless. But I also love that all of the outlaws trials are themed based around the prime asset of that area so I would love to see a forest themed outlast trial. I really want to take this and combine them together somehow. I was also thinking if they're in outlast trials the way Charlie would get caught in a trial is between the pusher and the Jaeger, since the pusher uses a flamethrower and the Jaeger one hit kills in outlast trials I think that's what would lead to him being killed and reanimated into an ex pop. For how Gwen would end up an ex pop is she would get confused and thrown off by one of the screamers before mother gooseberry kills her. I am also unfortunately very biased for anything around mother gooseberry because she is my favorite prime asset in outlast.

I can't think of any way to involve the other PA that I haven't mentioned yet, Liliya, because I've only played two of her trials and she's still really new in the Outlast lore so yeah. I want to imagine how they would be around all the PAs because each one is important to the Outlast trials lore. Scraps and I were talking about how they'd all interact with the first trial (kill the snitch) and who would be the least/most capable. Based off how instantly violent it is my opinions are that, and this is assuming they all behave the way they are before the events of pitfall, Ashley and Scott would be the least likely to be able to finish the trial. Gwen would have a medium likelyhood. Charlie and Lars would be most likely, since I feel like Lars would spend the whole time rage baiting the everliving hell out of Coyle while Charlie does all the gruesome tasks. It's also just really funny to imagine he would be the same kind of outlast player I am, because I spend my entire time rage baiting the prime assets and being human bait.

I love my friends so much and had so much fun doing this with them. Its very hard for me to express my appreciation for people, but oh my god I love them. We have been friends for a decade now and despite our differences over the years, I wouldn't give them up for anything. I hope they know this.

I hate having low empathy. People keep expecting me to care about stuff that just doesn't make sense?? I don't get it

Why do we act like strangers are our friends, they don't deserve all these pleasantries, they deserve objectivity

I'm always told I'm too mean to people who I am first meeting or only know a little bit by people around me with high empathy but I don't get why I'm supposed to be all nice to someone who I don't care about

Low empathy isn't some flex or nonchalant aura thing, it makes me feel incredibly alienated
