Game Queen

"Either way I should probably make my exit. You’re probably tired from your cry so going to bed a bit early wouldn’t be so bad. Plus you’ll be more refreshed in the morning" Jou said with a confident nod as he gave her another grin "Unless you want me to tuck you into bed?" Jou asked in a teasing manner, though she didn’t mean it in the kid way.

She blinked a few times “You don’t have to go yet..I’m not really tired to be honest.." Lately she hardly ever got tired..So she would always end up staying up. "Maybe…" She muttered under her breath, pouting a tiny bit. She then glared at him for a moment, still pouting. "Very funny." She then rolled her eyes and shook her head, letting out a tiny laugh. 

Jou got up as he playfully ruffled her hair. “Besides I have a co-um.. Job I have tah do tomorrow so I’m going to need all the sleep that I can get. Even if chilling with you and talking or watching movies til the crack of dawn sounds awesome but yah know how jobs are” Jou said as he gave her an apologetic smile as he knew he did need his energy for the concert tomorrow. 

She giggled when he ruffled her hair and then she got up as well. “Oh..Right." She smiled and then nodded her head slowly. "I understand. I do know how jobs are..I have to watch over the shop all the time now.." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "But Um..Yeah." She looked down, not really knowing what else to say. 

Jou raised an eyebrow as the but part “But what Yuug? Come on spit it out. If you want tah ask about something then you just gotta ask” Jou said as he looked at the girl “And ‘Don’t worry about it’ and ‘It’s nothing’ won’t cut it. I swear I will use the same torture I use on my sister. I’ll use tickle torture” Jou said, taking a dramatic pose.

Yuugi arched a brow but then quickly shook her head. "Aha. It seemed like I had something more to say but honestly I don't..I was just..Being awkward there. I wasn't trying to really say anything else. So everything is all good." She then pouted as she looked at him. "I don't like to be tickled.." She muttered under her breath.

"No problem Yuug. One of the jobs of a best friend after all is tah be a shoulder to cry on." Jou said as he grinned and patted his shoulder. Though he nicked her cell phone from the table and fiddled with it, sticking his tongue out slightly before he gave it back to her "There, now you have my number and you can call me when ever you want" Jou said with smile "You can even wake me up in the middle of the night if you need tah"

She nodded her head “Right..Well if you ever needed a shoulder to cry on then I am here…But I’m a afraid I am a lot shorter than you so my shoulder is a lot harder to cry on." She giggled quietly and then arched a brow as she watched him fiddle with her phone. She then looked at her phone and then looked back to him. "Thanks. You’re a great friend. I’m glad that you’re my friend.”

"Don’t worry Yuug, If I need tah cry on your shoulder, I’ll just lift you up so that you’ll be the perfect height" Jou said with a grin "Besides I’m sure you’ll start getting at least a bit more taller soon." He commented. When she called him a great friend, he just smiled and said "Only cause I had a great teacher" then again it was through being friends with Yuugi that Jou learnt to be a better person. 

She giggled and then nodded her head "That could work.." She smiled brightly at him and then shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know about that..Being short is a family thing..Well at least on my dads side..My mom is taller than me and dad and grandpa so..." She chuckled. "I think I take after dad and grandpa more..." She sighed and shrugged again. "But I'm okay with being short." She then blinked a few times before she smiled brightly once again. "That's right." She then grinned a tiny bit.

Guys can only cry if it’s manly tears" Jou said with a light laugh as he held her close "So just let it out" He murmured as he let her cry. When she started to calm down, he reached for a tissue and gave it to her "Feel a bit better?"

“N-Not really." She whispered quietly. "I’m not that brave." She bit her lip yet again as tears ran down her face. She tried to laugh at what he said but it sounded more like a sigh than a laugh. She then nodded her head slowly "O-Okay.." She muttered and then cried for a bit before she started to calm down. She slowly grabbed the tissue from him and then nodded her head slowly as she wiped her eyes and nose. "Y-Yeah..Thanks for that.." She gave a small smile.

"Your welcome… And you are one of the bravest people I know Yuug. I don’t think I could have done half of the things that you’ve done. When I’m brave it’s because of my friends and my sister. When your brave it’s cause you want to protect everyone, even your enemies." Jou knew that that it was hard for him to forgive those who severely wronged him. He’d never forgive Bandit Keith or Yami Malik for what they had done. He smiled at her before he gentle moved her back onto her chair. 

She sighed softly "You really think so?" She asked quietly. She gave another small smile to him, though it faded after a few moments because she then bit her lip. "Yeah..." She muttered quietly. "But..I..Um.." She didn't know what else to say and she may or may not have been blushing a tiny bit at the moment. "Again..Thanks." She wanted to say more but she just didn't know what else she should say.

Jou nodded lightly as he noted the lack of puzzle “I guess it would be hard to get back into the swing of it with Atem having gone back to the after life… How you holding up there Yuug? I know the two of you were really close”

Yuugi let out a small sigh and nodded her head slowly. “Yeah..It is.." She mumbled quietly, looking down again. "I’m holding up okay.." She looked at him and gave a weak smile. "Yeah..We were close.." She bit her lip for a moment.

Jou thought about it for a moment before he slid his chair over to where Yuugi was sitting. He then proceeded to pull the girl onto his lap and hug her close “It’s okay Yuug, even though you had to do it… it doesn’t make it hurt any less” Jou said quietly

Yuugi watched him and then blinked a few times. ‘Don’t cry..Be strong..’ She thought before she let out a shaky sigh and nodded her head, hugging him back. “I know…" She whispered. "Y-Yeah…That’s true." She mumbled quietly, her voice shaking just a bit.

He rested his head on her head lightly as he murmured “And yah don’t need to be strong all the time. You have me and Honda tah be stupidly strong all the time.” as he tightened his hug a bit “Plus I promise I won’t judge yah, I’ve hear a good cry is good fer your health”

Yuugi bit her lip once again for a few moments before she spoke. "But..I.." She sighed again. "R-Right.." She mumbled quietly, her voice still shaking as she tried her hardest to keep from crying. "But..I will just s-seem like a big baby if I cry." She whispered, tears welling up in her eyes. 'Don't cry..Don't cry..' She thought. Too late..She was now crying.

"What do you mean? What kind of changes?" He asked as he looked a bit on the confused side. She was being pretty vague at the moment which made him wonder if something bad had happened and she just didn’t want to tell him about "… You know that if anything is Wrong you can talk to me, right Yuug?"

She blinked a few times and then shook her head, giving a weak smile. “Aha. Never mind.." She sighed and ran a hand through her multicolored hair and then she looked down and fiddled with her thumbs. "I know..Nothing is wrong. Honestly." She looked at him and smiled brightly. "If something was wrong then I would tell you. I promise.”

"… Yuug… I get that feeling your not being honest with me… but I doubt me constantly poking you will get me anywhere. You’d probably just get me to leave" He said as he hummed lightly as he tried to think of a different topic of conversation "So have you gotten yourself into any interesting duels lately?"

"I am being honest with you though.." She looked at him and pouted before she shook her head. "Nah..I wouldn't." She gave a small smile. His question made her freeze up for a moment before she bit her lip and shook her head. "Ah...No..I haven't really dueled at all lately.." She muttered quietly.

At her reaction, Jou ended up raising an eyebrow “Yuug? Something wrong?” He asked as he watched her chew on her lip. He was pretty sure that he had not said anything that would get that sort of reaction so it left him wondering what sort of thoughts that she could be having. “Or are you wishing that you had burger’s for supper instead?”

She quickly looked at him and shook her head. "No! Of course not.." She said, giving a bright reassuring smile. She then let out a small laugh at what he said next and then she shook her head slowly. "Funny but no..I had burgers for lunch." She grinned at him. "But honestly nothing was wrong..I was just thinking about stuff. Like how a lot of things have changed..Or it seems like a lot of things have changed."
