No matter what Koname did, she could never forget.
She couldn’t forget the sight of her beloved parents being massacred by a merciless demon, or the sound of her brother dying by the same demon as a bloodcurdling scream left his throat for Koname to run.
That’s all she could do on that cruel, twisted night.
She’s never forgiven or forgotten.
She wants to, but she just can’t.
The nightmare of that fateful night ran through her head as she tried to sleep.
She shot up, breathing heavily and shakily as the tears pooled in her sparkling amethyst eyes.
“Koko..?” Muichiro’s voice sounded from nearby, laced with concern due to her panicked state.
“I-I didn’t mean to wake you.. I-I’m sorry..” Her voice is soft and teary.
Muichiro slowly moves over from his futon over to Koname’s.
“I’m glad I did wake up…” He mutters as he pulls her in for a hug and starts gently rubbing up and down her back.
She cries into his shoulder and he just sits there, holding her.
His presence and being in his embrace is enough to help Koname feel better but…
Aaahhh I hope you like it!!😭 I got a bit dramatic in my wording tbh but that’s kinda what you’re supposed to do when writing so you can properly convey things:D
