and even so there's no REASON to tell them. let's say morro for example. he hasn't seen him in like 30 years and as much as it hurts it's probably safe to say the kid is dead, considering his quest and the reason he left. he wasn't expecting to open up the cursed realm, or him to escape, hell he probably wasn't even expecting morro to BE in the cursed realm in the first place. also it just seems kinda personal why would he tell them about his failed most likely dead adopted son at all

AND ASPHEERA she was locked away a THOUSAND YEARS AGO it would make sense wu didn't see the need to tell them of yet another mistake he made when he was like 12 cause it's not RELEVANT anymore. she wasn't supposed to be freed in the first place

and this ties back to something i said a while ago. he told people too much and as a result they DIED and OVERTHREW THE MONARCHY IN A DAY. it makes sense he doesn't want to tell the ninja anything. especially if you consider the kai and morro parallels

if you want to argue about the time twins it's not the ninjas battle, it happened before they were even born. he most likely didn't want to burden them with yet another one of his enemies when it's not even relevant to them

I think a lot of people tend to believe its stupid because they get caught up in the specifics. "If a ghost can't touch water does that mean that it can't touch ice" "how does a ghost possess a body if it can't touch water" but its like. Iunno man the explanation in the show was clearly not about the specific molecular qualities of water, but sort of the spiritual significance of water, which lends to the themes of the season. Water is adaptable, water is the origin and the continuation of life, water both allows itself to be shaped by its surroundings and shapes it surroundings through gradual change. Ghosts, especially Morro, are stuck in their pasts, trying desperately to fulfill some goal they had in life, their wills twisted by a being who ultimately controls them.

I don’t want to preach, but if you are ever afraid because you are asexual.  If you have a relationship that isn’t based on romantic love.  Mom is asexual.  She also said no to my dad’s proposals three times because she wasn’t in love with him, and she was and still is repulsed by sex.

When Dad asked the fourth time, my mom broke down in tears.  Because she didn’t want to break his heart, because she still cared about him so damn much even if what she felt wasn’t romantic love.  Because the only reason she would have sex with him or anyone was because she wanted to have her own children.  And you know what?

Dad still wanted to be with her, from the time he was eighteen until they both were ready for the grave.  Because he didn’t want to ever be without his best friend in the whole damn world.  Mom meant that much to him.

I can count on one hand how many times my parents have ever kissed in front of me, and every time was on the cheek.  But their hugs are the most heartfelt you’ll ever see.  When they laugh together, you know there’s a deep love between them.  They truly are each other’s best friends.

I would have liked to spend more time on this, but you get the idea.

Alright, so. Coffee. I don’t drink coffee. I have no desire to drink coffee. I find people who enthusiastically go on about the flavor differences of lattes, espressos, and french press brews, both amusing and mildly baffling. All the coffee ads. Coffee jokes. Bustling coffee shops. To me, all coffee is similarly bitter and unpleasant. I have been through so many “Try this, it’s sweet! You can’t even taste the coffee!”  Alas, I always can. And I’m  sensitive to caffeine anyway. So, I don’t really think about drinking it when I wake up or am tired.

 Yet I love the smell of coffee. I love the idea of coffee. The feeling of a warm cup taking the chill from my fingers, the cozy ritual of having a drink and chat. I might try someone’s coffee. If they ask, if I want to please them and share in something they enjoy. I am also perfectly capable of learning the preferences of those I care about and creating a cup for their pleasure. 

But I don’t want coffee, generally speaking. I will probably make a face after trying their coffee and wash the taste out with something else. They may rush to reassure me that it is an acquired taste. And I’ll have to reply that it’s a taste I don’t particularly care about acquiring in the way they did. ‘Drink it till you like it’ will never work for me.
