tossing and turning in bed something felt awful lonesome to sukuna as he slept one of his four arms searched the bed subconsciously for your warmth

as if he needed more of that

he swept across the blankets searching, but the only thing he was met with was cool sheets

he eventually got up with a scowl already tugging at his mouth ready to call for urame to start a search for you around the estate but he eventually found you

a small figure curled up on the floor with some pillows and a thin blanket sprawled like a cat sukuna glared heavily he almost couldn’t believe his eyes

“women…”

a deep voice cut through such a peaceful and COOL sleep you’ve had

you groaned dreadfully

“go away let me sleep.”

you muttered half sleeping

sukuna jaw clenched you were sleeping on the floor. the floor. out of one of the million guest rooms his estate had to offer…

instead of in his bed that was large enough to hold at least 10 people

instead of with him…

the summer heat had been increasing brutal even during the night but it wasn’t his fault that his body runs naturally hot and that yours was oh so cooling something that he found fond more then he’d like to admit especially on these nights but sleeping next to him was like sleeping next to a human furnace

“women…why are you down here”

sukuna said in a gruffly tone still thick with sleep and you cracked one eye open to look up at him

“because kuna your too hot you practically radiate heat like the sun”

you muttered sleepily

“yeah well the floor is cooler”

his eyes scanned the way your cheek pressed along the pillow on the floor, a fan blowing cool air onto your body the soft and relaxed expression on your face

that felt wrong to see you so peaceful away from him the bed was too quiet too empty too cold even in the summer heatwave but without you made his stomach twist into something he couldn’t describe

you opened one eye to check if he was still there but to your surprise you saw sukuna looking a bit yearnful something you’ve never seen on him before

the realization settled over you… he missed you craved your warmth and affection and you finally spoke again

“kuna…did you miss me?”

you said softer then before

he scoffed and clicked his tongue

he spoke again something softer

before you could even reply back sukuna hands grabbed you carrying you back to bed

“kuna i was comfortable”

“enough you do not belong on the chambers floor you belong with me in bed”

he layed you down and immediately wrapped all four arms around you like if he would let go you’d run back away to the floor

his grumpy voice sounded again but this time more sincere
