I wanted to make some refs of the main antagonist of Ygo Splice! but,,, as a body snatcher its not so simple. The body snatcher has a few tells if you know how to spot them, otherwise you might not notice when exactly they’re pretending to be someone else. :) 

HIYYAA, this is a redraw of one of my yugioh antagonists <3 (Cassie) <3 I just wanted to give her a little reshaping, besides she would've liked more leather anyways lol

HIII!! Randomly had the motivation to give this ygo oc of mine, Clover, a soft redesign with a new color palette!!

Yu-Gi-Oh represents a large turning point to me, in my life. As a kid, I wanted to watch this show like every other child but I was relentlessly picked on for liking anything at all, so I thought it was best I avoided it entirely rather than to pretend I didn’t like something I knew I’d love. Eventually, I realized how unfair that was- that I avoided so many things as a kid because I didn’t want to be caught enjoying something so openly; I often felt as if I had to defend the things I enjoyed, because my classmates were always so quick to make fun of me, no matter what it was, so it wasn’t easy for me to care about new things if it meant I had to defend it just the same as anything else I liked. Yu-Gi-Oh was the first time I ever took that step forward and decided for myself that it was okay to be me, and that I had been avoiding being me for a long time. I learned how to be my most authentic self, how to have fun and what best to cherish in the presence of friends. Creatively, Yu-Gi-Oh was the first I ever thought to make fan ocs completely on my own, as I used to be hesitant in trying that because again- I didn’t want ppl to pick on me for it. I remember exactly how it felt to just lean back in my chair a little, and look at these YGO drawings I made at the time and to just unabashedly feel happy that I was expressing myself honestly. I’m still learning to this day how to be my most authentic self, and I can 100% say that without Yu-Gi-Oh, I may have had it a thousand times harder. Takahashi’s work means the world to me, and it always will. Rest in peace, and thank you for everything. Thank you.

(Here’s a separate shot of everyone!!)  I recently switched to CSP, and I’ve been awaiting to draw my YGOs once I’ve figured out the program enough, and alas! Today is that day!! So many lovely ppl have left such nice comments about them, thank you so very much! I made these guys in 2018, and I’ve worked on them ever since in a little fan story of mine I call, Yu-Gi-Oh! Splice- which is what this blog is mainly about, beside any other YGO fanart. Happy New Year everyone!!
