𝒗𝒂𝒉ş𝒊╱ ç𝘰𝘤𝘶𝘬

𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐍𝐎𝐓 come as a shock. while she kept out of the organisation’s affairs, she was still very aware of how that life was lead. what one saw, did; what was said and done to you, if given the chance. “ i’d be offended if it did surprise you. ” not really but it was worth a light scoff. yasemin followed his lead to his office, and wasted no time dropping her bag on a chair once they were inside. yasemin chuckled briefly at yusuf’s stance as he informed her of what he had picked out. “ good choice. but i wouldn’t expect anything less, anyway, ” she shrugged. a short sigh left her lips at his question. how had things been, really? “ dreadful, ” she nodded, “ but you already knew that. ” one wouldn’t be able to tell, but her calm disposition did not come to her as easily. her emotions were looking to rush to the surface. “ does it ever change? ” she asks.

“I’ve been better— cleaner,” Lottie admitted, dabbing away at the paint that had splattered over his suit. The gleam of it was distracting, pulling his attention over his shoulder in a way he had enjoyed leaving behind him. His job was to clean up messes, not make them anymore. 

His brief pause to try and clean it left him as no more than an obstacle against the constant motion of those around him. Sticky and sweet rained over his sleeve, gliding over his fingers where it would be impossible to get rid of it without a proper washing. “And drier,” He added flatly, shaking away what he could of the spill. “How are you enjoying basking in the glory of another man’s retirement? Surely you have to like the facade of chasing all of this and what the city has to offer. It can’t be all cops and robbers all the time, Yusuf.”

there was various forms of being cleaner, when he hears it. his mind automatically goes to finishing a job yet he’s not sure that’s what he means. ❝ appearance is everything. ❞ he says as he looked at him ❝ my mother always used to tell me, as long as you remain in tact &. you look clean. you are the best person in the room. i guess it was her way of making sure we didn’t look bad. ❞

a small chuckle escapes past his brims as he looks lottie and shrugs his shoulders  ❝ things surely have been eventful. i don’t think that koray hates me any less, it seems that after burak untimely departure the kaplan family has been hanging on by a thread.  ❞  he wasn’t lying, it was all into pieces &. he awaited for it all to be resolved. ❝ this just all needs to be over !  ❞

he had decided to take his time away from wynies &. make his way down the glowing lights, it wasn’t until he bumped into a particular frame. turning around he lets dark green optics scan the femme’s features. smiling as he saw who it was ❝ kaci del castillo, ağrıyan gözler için ne bir manzara. i was more than sure that the ground had swallowed you up ! ❞ he didn’t mean it as a disrespect &. he had even tried to sway kaan from letting her go but the kid was going to do what he wanted at the end of the day. ❝ how you been ?  ❞ 

keeping up appearances was something that yusuf was raised on, his parents always instilled in him that no matter how distasteful or how horrible he had had been feeling at the time, he would never show it. his relationship with koray wasn’t as great as it was with yas &. kaan, they just had different ideas certainly on how to handle things . he sees the homme &. gives him a polite nod ❝ can i offer you anything, boss ? ❞ 

“ LOST? ” KYLA REPEATS, QUICKLY stuffing her phone inside her jacket pocket. Whatever she was looking at could wait until later. “ No. ” she shakes her head simply. “ I know exactly where I am. ” her eyes cast him a glance up and down, as if analysing the man stood before her. “ Is that how you talk to potential customers? ” Kyla sulks sarcastically. “ No wonder you’re doing bad business. ” she sighs gently, taking a few tentative steps towards Yusuf, her arms folding firmly across her chest. 

he honestly didn’t believe that people could be this stupid &. foolish ❝ it seems like you are . ❞  he rebottled her reply &. a small smirk tainted his brims as he took a drag of the blunt between his brims ❝ you know what ----  ❞ he takes a brief pause &. looks at her ❝ It seems you people respond best to displays of violence. otherwise you wouldn’t be here , now would you ? ❞ he inquired with a small chuckle escaping his brims ❝ what do you want, carillo ?  ❞ 

𝐀 𝐒𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐕𝐄𝐃 on her mouth, yasemin approached the bar. “ and there’s my favourite bartender, ” she jested. when out in public, a small number of people were known to have a decent selection of alcohol at the establishments they owned, yusuf being one of them. “ a bottle of your strongest. something that can wash this whole thing down. ” the event, that was. for it would do little to aid with her otherwise turmoil. “ —from where you keep the best stock. ” because it certainly wasn’t in view. drumming her manicured nails on the bar top, she adds: “ other than that, surprise me. but also don’t make me regret it? ” she winced momentarily.

he shrugged his shoulders as he looked at the other ❝ same shit, different day !  ❞  he said as he looked at his friend. ❝ things haven’t been easy, you know after what happened with burak, shit has been hitting the fan. ❞ he knew that it wouldn’t be long before the kaplan’s had a plan in their hands, turning towards lottie . ❝ but how about you, how have you been ?  ❞ he inquired with a tilt of his head &. a small smile on his brims.  

after a few hours of hard labor ( not that he would call it that , he had done nastier/harder jobs ) he makes his way out from the bar when he spots her &. a shake of his head as he looks at her. he approaches her &. stifles his hands inside of his pockets ❝  it seems like you are lost.  ❝ he says as he looks at the brunette beside him  ❞ why are you here, you seriously can’t be that stupid ?   ❞ he says as a chuckle escapes past his brims

this festival certainly meant a lot for yusuf, simply because it was a way to keep himself busy &. the kaplans needed this. after burak’s death, it just seemed that everyone was trying their best to keep everything afloat. making his way out his office &. into the back of the bar he spots the brunette ❝ well, if it isn’t my favorite girl ! ❞ he says with a small smile on his brims, throwing a clean rag over his shoulder as he looks at her ❝ what’re we drinking today, sevgilim ? ❞
