One thing that really annoys me about the Encanto fandom is how they infantilize Bruno. Almost everything written about him depicts him as a stuttering, insecure, nervous, and blushing virgin. I’m not doubting his nervousness or insecurity-everybody in that family is insecure-but he’s shown to have humor and be bold in the movie. Yeah, he’s nervous about seeing his family, but that’s only because he’s been hiding away for 10 years and doesn’t know what they’ll think of him. He probably has social anxiety, too, seeing as how the townspeople talk about him correlates with how they probably treated him, but that doesn’t mean he can’t interact normally with people. I’ve even seen people who hc him as autistic or as ND do this, which to someone on the spectrum who also has mental illness, it’s incredibly demeaning. He’s a grown man, make him act like one, please.

when vanessa explained that the kids’ bodies were inside the animatronics too and that’s how afton got away with it, even though I knew this because of the lore, I still teared up and felt sick tbh.

i understand why long time fans going into the fnaf movie expecting hardcore horror were disappointed but as someone (also a long time fan) who went into it fully expecting a silly goofy somewhat cringey movie for all our inner children, i was thoroughly entertained 11/10

The real crime of the FNAF movie was that foxy got to do his little dum diddleedum but Freddy didn't get to do his toreador march

to elaborate on the fnaf movie: the animatronics looked awesome. they played talking in your sleep by the romantics which rules. none of the characters were particularly gripping or well-developed but matthew lillard looked like he was having a TON of fun as william afton and who can blame him. yes i clapped and cheered when matpat said "it's just a theory". yes i clapped and cheered when afton said "i always come back". yes i clapped and cheered when they played the living tombstone's seminal masterpiece in the end credits. i had so so much fun. absolutely recommend if you just wanna see fun robot murder with cool animatronics and occasional hijinx. god i wanna see it again now
