Do you guys ever really consider just HOW Bellamy became the Head and Clarke became the Heart? Like just how seemlessly perfect it is??
Bellamy thought he’d left Clarke to die. He suffered with that for 6 years. And I would imagine he decided pretty early on he would never go through that again. So in order to protect everyone he cared about, he started using his head before diving into problems. Just like Clarke did circa season one.
Whereas with Clarke, her life truly became about survival… and then when she met Madi, suddenly she had a reason to live. Just like Bellamy’s life on the Ark protecting and raising his sister. His whole life centered on keeping Octavia alive and safe. So when he loves something and it’s endangered, he was reckless because of his desperation to protect it. And that’s what Clarke’s become like…
I’m just in awe. All season, I realize we’ve been seeing them this way and I knew exactly what was going on…
But like it just hit me how much these writers really fucking paralleled these two characters…
And GODDAMN. How in the fuck is the subtext for this supposed to be read as anything other than “these two idiots are soulmates”??
ANYWAY. I can’t wait for it tomorrow already.
