Today marks the 8 year anniversary of my dads death. We didn't have what one would call a good relationship, because he allowed his demons to run his life, but we did have one thing in common, The Pittsburgh Steeler. Dad, who was born and raised in Nicktown, PA loved his Pittsburgh sports teams (and Penn State) and raised us too as well. Aside from fishing, it was basically the only time we saw him in a good mood. He would have loved seeing us start the season 9-0. I have some of his ashes in the necklace posted in picture 3, and it hangs in a shadowbox of his favorite players jersey, Jack Lambert, on display in my bedroom.
