Finney stands in the basement for a minute after hearing Robin’s voice. In every universe, he stands, and he thinks about the last call. Considers giving up, walking into the lion’s den and hoping for a slightly less gruesome death since he’s cooperative.

Torn between dying so he could be with Robin again, with mama, or getting out and living because Robin and the others couldn’t. Living for Gwen. Living just so that sick fat masked fuck doesn’t win.

In every universe, no matter what choice he makes, he always regrets it just a little bit.

Underneath him, Finney is flushed, seemingly elated by the feeling of Ernesto's lips on his. They've been kissing for nearly half an hour and it shows. Ernesto's glasses are fogged up, his mouth tender and lips swollen. This is the first time he's ever kissed Finn when they were both equally willing, and it feels electric.

"Robin." Finn whispers between gasps, grabbing the back of Ernesto's head and pulling him down into another kiss. It feels as if a bucket of cold water has been dumped down his back.

Ernesto is pathetic and he is extremely self aware of this fact- why else would he be kissing his dead brothers best friend while his girlfriend sleeps in the other room- his girlfriend whom he adores. But Ernesto isn't dumb. He knows that if Robin were alive, Finn wouldn't even bother to glance at him. He knows he's just a replacement. It hurts anyway.

"Finn. Finn, c'mon. Don't do that." Ernesto says through the kiss, squirming slightly as he tries to back away. Finn lets him go, the expression of flushed bliss fading into something sullen and hostile. "Are you even, like, thinking straight right now?"

"Don't be a fucking stick in the mud, Ernie. I thought we were having a good time." Finn licks his lips, carding a bruised hand through his hair. "I thought you wanted me to kiss you."

"Not- not like this! Not when you're just pretending that I'm not me! Pretending that I'm Him!"

The expression on Finn's face wavers, breaks, and abruptly Ernesto realises he's crossed over into uncharted territory for them. The thin ice is broken.

"Finn, I-"

"Shut up. Just leave. Just leave, Ernesto. Go home."

The moment is over, and it feels it never existed, the sweet rosy flush in Finn's cheeks sinking into a greyish, sick pallor that is even more evident in the unusual wetness in Finn's eyes.

Ernesto ducks his head, biting his tongue harshly to keep from saying something else he'll regret. "Okay. I'm sorry."

"Go."

"I'm going. Call me later?"

"There is no later, Ernie." Finn's laugh is mean. "No later because you're not fucking real. I've made you up. When you leave, you're gone, and I won't miss you."

ALSO LITTLE PONY FIN! I don't know if you could read what I wrote (⁠ー⁠_⁠ー⁠゛⁠) but basically I think he would be a blank flank for the time being (this is pre kidnapping) also very stunted wing growth due to all the stress in his life, especially after his mom's death

I wanted to play a lot on the whole "FINS ARM IS MINT" so I made it so his hooves are a little wider/ stronger than the rest of his body.

btw I do NOT like the grabber at all, just wanted to doodle him since I do like his design

Sometimes Finn has flashbacks. Days where he has one foot in the basement, mixing up time-frames. He gets confused. Gwen brings Ernesto over during one of these episodes and Finn stares at him, hurt and bewildered that Robin would cut all his pretty hair off. He only realizes when he says this out loud and Ernesto's face crumples and he starts to cry. Robin never cried. And if he ever did, it wouldn't be so vulnerable.
