“I feel like a rat…”

“Shh Just eat the darn thing.”

He gave a fond eye-roll at your comment and sunk his teeth into the cheese piece you cut for him, and you proceeded to eat yours contently.

‘Contently’ neverminding your eyebags ‘cause it's two in the freaking morning.

I mean hey, It’s not like you going “I crave cheese” and Flowey going “hah?” After staying up all night listening to indie music and procrastinating your work is unusual for either of you, Flowey’s gotten used to your antics and even found himself reluctantly joining.

Doesn’t mean he won’t scold you about dragging both of you’s sleep schedules to the mud once again tomorrow though.

“Aren’t you supposed to eat these with bread or somethin’?” Flowey held up the cheese in his vine as emphasis, another vine supporting his head on the table.

“Not necessarily, even if I was, Don’t you like doing things untraditionally sometimes?” You reasoned casually, eating another small cheese bit.

“It’s kinda bland by itself, dont’cha think?” He finished his cheese,

“But I like it bland...” 

“that’s why you’re not the chef in this household.” Flowey smirked mockingly, you pouted at him as he licked the remaining cheese crumbs off his vine like a darn housecat.

If it weren’t for his attitude you would’ve ended up getting cuteness aggression towards him every time he breathed. 

“Well I’m sor-ry for not hoarding every cookbook I could find! I have better things to do…also maybe I prefer a certain flower’s cooking over everyone elses~” you batted your eyelashes cutely at him.

He scoffed and looked away in his usual tsundere manner.

“Just finish your hazardly snack so we can go back to sleep already.”

“Gladly.”

Munch munch…

“…want sum more?”

“I’m good.” He mumbled while rubbing his eye.

“Kayy…” You packed up the rest of the cheese and got up, putting it back in the fridge.

Glancing back behind you, you realized how cute he looked all sleepy and hovered over the counter, his roots lazily dangling off the stool. 

You smiled to yourself and snuck next to him again.

Before he could register it, you planted a soft kiss on his fuzzy cheek and said “Thanks for always looking out for me.”

As you walked away to wash your hands, you left him perked up, dazed, and a little annoyedly flustered.
