It's that time again, Guardians. Some kind soul that goes by Red_Head_Hippo on Reddit posted this map for all of us to study since Solstice of Heroes starts next week. Not gonna lie, I may skip this as well. The area, awesome as it is, is just too big to get to everything properly.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people arguing over whether if Mara Sov is a good queen, whether if Amanda Holliday or Suraya Hawthorne is better, but y’all are sleeping on one of the best women in the Destiny series: Ikora Rey.

Here’s a list of reasons to love her. The list is purely subjective, and you may respectfully disagree.

1. Warlock Vanguard! Strong as hecc, powerful enough to Nova Bomb an entire Cabal ship and take it out of the sky - no other Warlock has ever managed that.

2. Kicked Shaxx’s ass in Crucible, the only guardian to ever do so to date.

3. Mom friend. Responsible and caring.

4. Likes tea. Never stops drinking tea. Cayde-6 even says “Ikora’s been drinking tea since before your great great great grandmother was born!” to Hawthorne.

5. Poor warlock just needs a hug. She said her friendship with Cayde was her healthiest relationship. Someone go love this woman. Right now.

6. Is serious on the outside but will put up with Cayde’s nonsense, she’s the mediator between Cayde’s bashful recklessness and Zavala’s serious stoicism. If not for her pulling Titans and Hunters together, there would’ve been no Vanguard.

7. She’s loyal, like, seriously devoted. Loves Osiris even after he’s been exiled. Here’s their time as mentor and pupil:

8.Can rock a shaved head like no other. Ikora doesn’t need a head full of hair to look good, she’s just that beautiful.

9. Speaking of beautiful, her cloak is awesome. Like I love Warlock garb in general but her cloak???? is just so good???

10. Her Ghost is called Ophiuchus, named after the constellation of a man grappling a snake in the sky. It’s hard to pronounce but is definitely cool.

11. I think Ikora is very tolerant of her fellow guardians’ quirks. She does allow Asher to call her a “wretch”, even if she says it’s because they are planets away from each other. She takes Eris’ warning of Oryx seriously, and in Shadowkeep sends the guardian to help Eris when the latter is tormented by phantoms of her past. In a tower message Cayde even tries to get Ikora to go to the ramen shop with him.

12. Has a beautiful voice. Like one of the nicest voices in Destiny. I love the gentle strength it conveys. Once you’re back from a strike or a mission, and you go to her to turn in a quest, it’s such a blessing to hear her address you as “guardian”.

13. In a world of Exos that can easily replace their lost limbs and damaged body parts, and Awokens who have a supernatural connection to the light and dark, Ikora Rey became the most powerful warlock as a human. The warlock’s curiosity and dedication is exemplified on her. She is no regular bookworm, mind you, she became one of the most respected guardians through years of field work.

14. Please give her more love Bungie, after Forsaken I think she deserves a break.
