Eyes bright with enthusiasm, he beamed widely against the kiss, unable to stop himself. “If anything was going to unlock the next level, Deacon, it’d sure as hell be engagement.” He shifted under the other man, tugging him down on top of him as their lips met in a heated kiss, more than a little torn between his warring desires to make this slow and delicious or hot and rough. Finally settling on just letting things happen as they happened, something he usually tried not to do, he began nipping along Bradley’s lower lip to the corner of his mouth, then licking up the underside of his jaw. For a second, he almost expected something to be different, for something fundamental and irreversible to have happened with those two words, but he was exceedingly pleased to discover that nothing seemed to have changed physically between them.

Chuckling, he nodded in agreement but didn't feel the need to add anything more, verbally. He was, however, going to kiss the hell out of him now. His hand slid along Duncan's side, warm, exploring his body as if making sure this was still the same one he knew so well. After all, something had had to have changed if Duncan wanted to marry him? But there didn't seem to be any inserted chips under his skin or anything but the body he expected, recognized, and loved. Humming at the nips, his breath was sucked in as he licked over the underside of his jaw, almost instinctively grinding into Duncan. He shook his head, the exhilaration making this somewhat better for him, making everything feel just a tiny bit fresher but still as good as ever, still what he expected and always got him going. "I love you... I love you... I- mmm..love you."

He wrapped his arm back around Bradley’s waist, not holding him in place this time so much as tugging him down for another kiss, half-sitting up in a position that felt a little uncomfortable but one that nonetheless allowed him better access to the other man’s mouth, breaking away all too soon with an uncharacteristically giddy exhaling laugh. “Good, that’s really good, that’s fucking great, I love you.” Although he was pretty sure the point was completely moot now, he couldn’t help but tease his -fiance? That was going to take some getting used to - fiance a little about the mild absurdity of the whole situation. “Going to class?” Shifting to a less awkward upright position, he leaned in and kissed his fiance again, licking out at his mouth like there wasn’t anywhere on the planet he’d rather be - a comparison which, actually, was one hundred percent accurate.

Breathing in slowly, he had to kiss him back, any time his lips were even an inch away from him he had to kiss him with the mood he was in. The sound of Duncan's laugh made his heart swell and he was grinning. "I love you, too. More now, actually? Like you unlocked the next level?" He let out a short laugh, shaking his head at himself, shifting and crawling closer to him. "Class?" His eyebrows raised, eyes staying open for a moment as he sat on his legs in front of Duncan who'd started kissing him in again, he shook his head a little. "Mmmm.." He broke away. "Exam. And no. No, I'm really not." Diving back into the kiss, his arms came around Duncan and he lowered him back down onto the bed, hovering over him and blocking out the abominable cold from hitting his skin too much as he kissed him, tugging on his lips and letting his tongue lash out against them.

If the proposal hadn’t woken him up, the kiss certainly had. Duncan thought, blearily, that that wasn’t a sentence he’d ever expected to appear in his mind. He kissed Bradley back on sheer reflex, his brain busy with other things - specifically, wondering what it meant when he shook his head and wondering when they could just get back under the covers already because the air was colder than any air had the right to be. When his mouth was relatively free, he managed to speak again. “Officially forever.” Sure, he was against the idea of marriage in general, thought it was useless, but now with Bradley it seemed like the least useless thing on the planet, the next logical step in the rest of their lives together. “So… ‘s that a yes, then?” It only occurred to him after he said it that it might not actually be a yes - after all, he had shaken his head, and that was pretty universal - and the sudden worry swept over him like a wave, showing in his eyes.

He slid his hand up and cupped his jaw for a moment, stroking is thumb over is jaw for a moment before breaking away and smiling again. His brain was buzzing, reeling and turning this over and over in his brain. Duncan. Marriage. Him. He could remember the time when he had felt so crestfallen when Duncan would get so defensive and 'No, never!' about the suggestion, but he had adapted to that. He'd always swashed the idea with Duncan when it came up and he'd realized it wasn't going to happen. He had been all right with that. All that aside, his heart felt like it wanted to bust now at the thought. He let out a short laugh, thinking the worry in Duncan's eyes was kind of cute, which was probably two kinds of offensive because it was worry he was finding cute, and he was finding it cute, which Duncan wouldn't approve of. Leaning in again, he grazed his lips against his boyfriend- no, fiance's, sighing afterward. "It's definitely a yes."

Relenting, he sighed and let Bradley push his arms off, finally cracking his eyes fully open because he figured he might as well get a good look at him before he went off to class. “Mmhmm”. Running a hand through his own hair vaguely, he looked up at his boyfriend and shrugged. “Marry me. It’s legal now, you know.” It wasn’t a terribly romantic way to propose, but anybody who knew Duncan even a little bit knew that he wasn’t famous for his romantic personality. “I want forever with you, officially forever, not just a whole bunch of ‘now’s but actually forever.”

Class had completely flown out of his brain at this point and he had most certainly stilled all efforts to get Duncan off him. Of course, now he was giving up and resolved to let Bradley go, it seemed, but that seemed impossible to Bradley at this point, especially if he was serious. Fuck, he was serious... he definitely wouldn't joke like this, about this. He parted his lips and stared a moment. "It is legal... officially forever?" He had to bite down on his tongue to keep from all his 'but's that were waiting to flow out of him, such as 'but I thought you thought people making it legal was completely pointless,' and instead focused on the fact that Duncan Ambrose was considering marriage, and with him. He shook his head, probably a very confusing gesture at this point, before he leaned down and in to kiss him hard on the mouth, a little too much vigor for this early in the morning but it had been inspired.

He brought his other arm up from under the warmth of the covers to hook around the other side of his waist, holding his hands together to prevent Bradley from moving. “Class doesn’t really matter, exams’re soon anyway and everything…” His voice, muffled from sleep, was just beginning to sound like what a voice actually should sound like. He paused, suddenly struck by a new thought. More specifically, not really a new thought, more like one that had been niggling at him for the last few weeks at the very least and the timing of it all seemed so perfectly imperfect that he couldn’t help but chuckle quietly before turning his head so that he would’ve been looking up at Bradley if his eyes had been open. “Marry me?”

Laughing quietly and gently continuing to try and pry his arms off him, even if he was hesitating now and again because Duncan just looked so sleepy and gentle and it seemed wrong to be trying to peel his grip off. He smirked, about to say 'It is an exam' but he figured he could tell Duncan that later. After all, he was going to class, to his exam, whether Duncan knew it was one or not. Nothing was going to stop hi-..oh. Confusion clouded his eyes as his head turned and he stared down at him, mouth going dry. He'd heard that properly... right? He had. But Duncan had said it, so it honestly made no sense. He swallowed hard and parted his lips. Maybe he needed more confirmation that Duncan had actually just said that. "..Marry you..?"

The only downside to sharing a bed with Bradley was his early morning class and the way the mattress dipped and woke him up when he had to get up for said early morning class. Cracking open one eye just enough to see his boyfriend’s silhouette as he sat on the edge of the bed, Duncan scooted over next to him and wrapped an arm around his waist, happily pressing his own face into the other man’s side in a completely undignified manner. “Mmf, stay in bed…” He lazy closed his partially-open eye, the sun brighter than he was prepared to deal with this far in the day, then squeezed his arm tight around Bradley, trying to stop him from getting up but not strong enough or awake enough to accomplish anything like that.

Turning his head a little, he didn't even have to really check to see if he had woken up Duncan, since it was a rare time when he didn't. All the same he wanted to check back on him, catching him scooting over closer and wrapping his arms around him. He sighed quietly, tempted but also having grown way stronger to resisting this temptation than he had ever been before the damn class. If he gave in every time he was tempted, he'd miss every single class, but no, this was the very last one, and he could resist this one last time. "You know I can't," His voice was warm and quiet, tsking as he reached around to run his hand through Duncan's dark head of hair before carefully grasping his arm around him to pull him off.
